I was reading last night, and even though I had read this many times--for some reason it seemed to jump out at me...
Matthew 24:36-39 "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. Luke 17:26-30

Here is my question--Jesus says his returning will be as it was in the days of Noah, and in Luke, Lot's days are included.

May teach today that there is only one more coming of the Lord--they use this 'one more coming' to discount an idea of a rapture...saying that to believe in the catching away, it would mean two more comings. A few teachers have included this to also mean 'one more coming'...in their rapture beliefs, in that Jesus comes one more time, stays in the air long enough to 'rapture' the church, then comes [at that moment] to earth along with the raptured church.

OK, to my question---IF those days [mentioned above] are likened to the days of Noah [or Lot]...this end of tribulation rapture idea, or even the mid, doesn't seem to work.

Why? Because Jesus said basically life [and people] would be just going along as usual--marrying, building, growing crops, etc.

IF our Lords return for us is at the end of the 7 years, how COULD life be going on as usual? Do you see my point?

The great tribulation is told to us, as being "trouble like we've never seen or experienced"...right?

So how do these teachers explain this?

I know I could have asked one of those that believe in this end of tribulation rapture, the question---but I knew it would only end up in people trying to prove their view....so I'm coming to those in here.
