I posted this elsewhere, but wanted to get some feedback on this from y'all.

I always assumed that the verses in Luke 17 (similar ones are in Matthew 24) could only mean the rapture, but I think that this might be a different KIND of "taking" altogether. I never really did a study on them because it just seemed that on the surface - they could only mean one thing.

Now what I am trying to ascertain is...where are these taken going?
(Keep in mind I am studying this - not concluding it!)

34 I say unto you, In that night there shall be two men on one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 There shall be two women grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
36 There shall be two men in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
37 And they answering say unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Where the body is, thither will the eagles also be gathered together..

I have seen some discussions of which things come before the Second Coming of Christ where it is theorized that He comes before the vials are poured out. But what I am reading seems to point to the possible reaping of the marked.

If the marked are taken and thrown into the battle site where Christ returns....they are done for right that very day. There wouldn't be anyone left for the 1st vial to put a malignant sore ON.
-------------------
On the day of the Second Coming of Christ, it is rather looking like the vials are done with, and that all of those bearing the mark of the beast will DIE.
ALL of them.
Who is going to be inflicted with the sores of the vials if they are already DEAD? On that day, there is a harvest.
One man taken....one man left.

Is this the rapture? That isn't how these verses read so far as I can tell.

What of the one who is left behind?
Guess some will stand at the right hand of Jesus....and some on the left....sheep or goat.
Are any of the goats bearing the mark of the beast?
No, if they wore that, I may be that they would have been TAKEN in the harvest, to be dealt with on the day of Christ's Second Coming in power and glory.
This particular doom appears to be for those bearing the mark of the beast.
Where does Jesus say that those who are taken will go?
Where the eagles gather:

Luke 17:36 There shall be two men in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
37 And they answering say unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Where the body is, thither will the eagles also be gathered together.

Why are the eagles gathering? They are gathering for the supper of the great God.

What will become of those "taken" there?

Revelation 19:11 And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon called Faithful and True; and in righteous he doth judge and make war.
12 And his eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems; and he hath a name written which no one knoweth but he himself.
13 And he is arrayed in a garment sprinkled with blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which are in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and pure.
15 And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.
16 And he hath on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid heaven, Come and be gathered together unto the great supper of God;
18 that ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of them that sit thereon, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, and small and great.
19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat upon the horse, and against his army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought the signs in his sight, wherewith he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and them that worshipped his image: they two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burneth with brimstone:
21 and the rest were killed with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, even the sword which came forth out of his mouth: and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

The harvest - spoken of in Revelation

14:14 And I saw, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud I saw one sitting like unto a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand sharp sickle.
I've read a lot of the different views that state that the Second Coming is at the 7th trumpet, with the vials left to go, or that the vials are for later, or that they are all concurrent. But the way they read so far as i can tell is that the 7th seal contains the 7 trumpets, and the 7 vials follow them. In the order they are recorded. Each 7th judgement seems to end with massive convulsions of nature as its culmination. But they do appear to go in order. I've also read that the 6th seal = the 7th trumpet = the 7th vial...still studying that, but it still looks to me like they go precisely as they seem to: in order. The 7 trumpets aren't brought in until the 7th seal, which contains them all. If they go in order....the Second Coming isn't til they are done with despite the similarities in earhtquakes/convulsions of nature.

Anyways, kinda looks like those who chose to worship the beast will be taken....taken to the site of the battle, killed by the sword of Christ....and the birds were filled with their flesh.

Those might not be rapture scriptures atall, but the doom of those who worship the beast.

It looks to me like the day of the Second Coming of Christ doesn't occur til after the seals, trumpets, vials are done, or there would be no one left to inflict the malignant sores on, that are put on those who bear the beast's mark.
Also that they will all die on that day, and Christ will make a victory ascent on that very same day, as is spoken of here:

Zechariah 14: 3 Then shall Jehovah go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east; and the mount of Olives shall be cleft in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee by the valley of my mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azel; yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah; and Jehovah my God shall come, and all the holy ones with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that there shall not be light; the bright ones shall withdraw themselves:
7 but it shall be one day which is known unto Jehovah; not day, and not night; but it shall come to pass, that at evening time there shall be light.
8 And it shall come to pass in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the western sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
9 And Jehovah shall be King over all the earth: in that day shall Jehovah be one, and his name one.

Interesting verses, huh? Now that is one BIG earthquake! Kinda 7th vial-ish.

When the vials and trumpets are done - it's over. Upon the pouring out of the seventh vial, a voice from the temple, from the THRONE, says "It is done" (Rev 16:17). It is done, and now it is time for the earth to be reapt.

Here is what Christ's garments will look like when HE is finished with the lot of them:

Isaiah 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat?
3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yea, I trod them in mine anger, and trampled them in my wrath; and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.
4 For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my wrath, it upheld me.
6 And I trod down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my wrath, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.

And then the eagles have the supper of the Great God.
