Discussion not limited to prophecy.

With Thanksgiving coming up here shortly I think it would be a good idea to take some time and just be thankful. I know some of you are on Facebook and may have seen this idea posted there, but indulge me because I think it is a very good idea. I think we should always take the time to remember to give thanks to God for all that we have, even if it doesn't seem like much, because there's no amount of thanksgiving that can repay Him for our very lives and the hope and salvation we have through Christ Jesus.
So anyhow, without further ado, just take a moment each day to post something that you are thankful for.
Today, I am thankful for a caring husband who is not only an excellent provider for myself and my son, but also has no problems with going above and beyond the call of duty to care for me when sickness overcomes me. I thank God for placing this man in my life and I continue to pray and hope for his eternal salvation.

Huh I thought this would be a really popular thread, I guess you just can't predict how people will respond. Oh well.
Today I am thankful for getting some "me" time with the house all to myself. It was an especially nice day too, very cool. My pattern I ordered to make a Tampa Bay Bucs afghan for my brother finally arrived 5 weeks after I ordered it so I am totally excited to get started on it. My boys *hubby & son* are on their way home after spending a day at Islands of Adventure & Universal Studios with my sister-in-law and two of my nephews. They apparently feel guilty for going and having so much fun without me and have offered to bring me home dinner. How sweet. Little do they know I really did enjoy my day to myself lol.

That the winds on the coast aren`t making it to my saturated woods here at the mouth of the bay. And I thank the Lord and praise his holy name, that He has answered the prayers of those praying for me. I`m not going to have a severe scar across my face. I`ve never had such quick healing from so severe a cut.

I'm thankful that I'm alive and that my kids are healthy.

I am thankful for Jesus dying on the cross for my sins, apart from that there would be no hope. I am thankful for the mother he gave me, she raised me in a very good church that taught the whole Bible. Without that I would have been a lot worse off as I went my own way thru my teens, twenties, and thirties I was a terrible sinner. But what brought me back to God is the memories of what our preacher taught, usually at the worst points in my life. I am thankful for the examples set for me by my parents and grandmother, who showed me the love of Christ thru their actions and words. I am thankful for the friends I grew up with in church who have been of inestimable comfort and help thru many dark days. I am thankful for being able to share the gospel with most of my friends and acquaintences. I am thankful for the freedom we have had all our lives in this country. I am thankful for the knowledge and understanding He has given me just for asking. I am thankful that I did not die when I was stabbed in the back, for at that time I would have died in my sins. I am thankful that God is who and what He is. I am thankful for the many types of christian music that I have found so much comfort in through so many bad days. I am thankful for the fact that He holds me in his hands and no one can snatch me out. I am thankful for the US Army 1st Special Forces Group and each and every individual that I served with years ago. I am thankful for this website and Herb Peters, who originated it, and Holly and Adam Pivec who so competently carry on his work. And I thank God for ALL of you who have taught me so much. I am thankful that the God of the Bible IS God and there is no other.

Today I am thankful for my marriage being happy and solid. 7.5 years and loving each other more every day! We've been together as a couple for 12 years now and known each other for 13 years. It amazes me to think of all the things we've been through together. We just found out yesterday that my husband's baby sister is going through a divorce. It breaks my heart. This will be her 3rd divorce and this marriage produced 2 sons, who are both quite young.

Boundless Grace, from which every good thing in my life flows, of which there are too many things to list.

What are you thankful for today?
Well....today is the first day for deer hunting...
We have a pet deer....She is almost two years old.... She is just the right size for a good kill..... We have had her since she was born... She has no fear... She gets on our deck, comes in the house if we hold the door open.. She spends the mornings and evenings with us...but she has about four to five deer that are her friends...and she spends a lot of time with them....they even come up to our fence some days waiting for her to eat....then she goes back to run with them...
With deer season starting today... I have been concerned that she might look to good to some hunter in the freezer.. My Husband has prayed for her that God our Father would have His angels keep her safe.
Well this morning she did not come up for her breakfast... And we could hear the hunters out in the woods... LaLa has an orange collor on....so they can see she is a pet.. But not all hunters would consider this.... So when she did not come up ......My Faith grew weak... I felt sick all day...... My Husband said...O Ye O little Faith... So.....I went out on our porch as the sun was going down...
And I begin to Call Her......La La.....La La....Here La la.. And Much to my Great Pleasure.....Here She Came.... She is fine.....I Praise the Lord that He cares about things that make us happy... She is a Pleasure and we enjoy her so much... So Today I Thank you Jesus for Keeping La La Safe.....
Thank you Heavenly Father......You are so Good....How can We Praise you enough...for all your goodness... a men Mrs. B

Awwww Mrs. B thanks for sharing that, that's awesome!
Today I am thankful for being gifted with a talent for crochet, the patience to learn, the desire to make beautiful things out of balls of yarn, the joy of giving my gifts to others and seeing them smile, my husband supporting my hobby financially and with encouraging words and the free time to put into it.

Today I am thankful for being able to stay home and take a nap after having to get my husband up for work at 5:30am when we normally get up at 7am.

I am so thankful for my son. Thank you precious Lord !
A sweet sister-in -Christ lost her baby this week, in the 6th month of pregnancy. I grieve for her loss and pain, and am reminded of my own similar loss in my 7th month of my daughter. We don`t always understand God`s plans for us, but we can have peace, knowing that he is in control. If I have learned nothing else in my life, I have learned this. Hold dear today, what may be God`s tomorrow. And I thank the Lord for all those he puts in my path, to love.

Today I am thankful for my family and getting to spend time with them. We're having a "Family Game Night" and bringing covered dishes to have a pre-Thanksgiving dinner because my husband and I and our son are going to my brother's house in TN for Thanksgiving this year rather than to my Aunt's house here. Also my mom and her husband are going up to TN as well. So all of us local folks who normally do Thanksgiving together are having our dinner tonight =)
I am making a stuffed mushroom casserole with a homemade meat sauce and mashed potatoes and lots and lots of sharp cheddar cheese =) It's something my husband claims to have invented and dubbed "What the Dog Buried" and he taught me how to make it hehe. My Aunt is making my stuffed cabbage modified recipe. I made that for her about 2 months ago and she loved it. I'm very flattered that my Aunt would choose to make one of my recipes, she's an awesome cook! My mother is making baked ziti. I have no clue what my Nana is making, if anything, her health has not been good, but what a blessing she's still here on this earth with us at 89! I'm so excited. Good food and fun group games with people I love so much. So awesome!
