I'm not sure that it has any significance to scripture. I think the buzz is just about how quickly the US population is growing.

Yes, I have heard...it's largely symbolic, but draws attention to how crowded it's getting here in America.

And from my viewpoint, it seems like every last one of them is moving to Texas, dang it! Can we put out some spin, please, that Texas is really an awful, nasty place and people wouldn't like it here, so they should go somewhere else? Naw...no one would believe it.
