Bren, do your neighbors have your phone number? Your pastor? On "weather" days someone should contact you once a day to check on you. I could do it, but then what? We are too far apart for me to get to you...and I can't leave Mom alone for more than an hour or so. Frustrating.

My son has a 4 wheel drive truck, and he isn`t afraid of the Hill. I just got my electric back on at 1:00 this morning. Been without since 10:00 Wednesday night. It was the wettest snow I have ever seen. When I stepped out on my porch wednesday night, you could hear trees and limbs cracking everywhere, so I wasn`t surprised to lose the electric. But talk about a winter wonderland ! Every last inch of everything was white. The snow is still on the sides of the trees, it was so wet. I have four trees to get up off my property, and had to clear a big limb to get down my front steps. My nearest neighbors had to cut up a tree that was blocking the lane by the creek, on their way out to a hotel. They work at a hospital, and have to be able to get out, so they stayed at a hotel the last 2 nights.
I have a kerosene heater for emergencies, and ooldles of candles. Stored water. Baby wipes, face wipes, and plenty to eat for awhile. Living here, I Know to be prepared. I have a portable TV that holds a charge for 2 hours, that I hooked my comcast cable to. So I was able to watch a little news. And I had radio the whole time. But when the electric came on, I was ready to dance for joy. Had it been earlier in the week, my water pipes would have froze and busted. Thank God it was so much warmer.
Thanks for your concern, SueAnn. I needed the prayer. One big limb hit my roof, but did no damage. Praise the Lord !!! Now, if I could only get out of my driveway.
