Israeli Environmental Protection Minister Gilad Erdan this week questioned why Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has remained mum on the findings of a recently concluded legal commission that concluded Jews do have a legal right to build and live in Judea and Samaria (the so-called “West Bank”).

He probably doesn't want to fracture his coalition. As Christian Americans we sometimes look at Israel and assume they are a better country than our own, full of righteous people, but in reality, they have all the same problems we do, and their orthodox population is under persecution as much as we Christians are here in America. Not quite the persecution the rest of the world's Christians face, but of lower intensity. West Bank settlement is a hot topic, even for Jews.

The opposition party, Kadima, is dangerously naive about this, and I have a feeling that when Netanyahu attacks Iran, the war won't be quite as clean as they hope, and popular sentiment will turn against Likud, he'll lose his next election, and people like Tzipi Livni will come to power, people who are naive to the threat the Jews are under. I believe it will be politicians like Livni that will be decieved by the Anti-Christ.

This is all my personal speculation of course.
