NBC Apologizes for Omitting 'Under God' From Pledge During U.S. Open Broadcast

NBC issued an on-air apology Sunday for omitting the words "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance during its coverage of golf's U.S. Open.

The words were edited out of a clip of children reciting the oath -- a move immediately noted by viewers, who took to Twitter and various blogs to voice their anger, the Huffington Post reported.

Given that the portion "under God" was omitted deliberately, then followed by an apology, I'm reminded of that old adage men tend to favor; "It's easier to beg forgiveness than ask permission." There was no plausible excuse for the omission ~ none. It was simply a small, rebelious act against God and an insult aimed at the church. I see these acts almost like a continuing part of an ongoing test, another push, another step towards outlawing any mention of our Lord, and marginalizing those who believe in Him.

This really reminds me--as does other things going on--about that subtitle on one of the Left Behind books: The World Takes Sides.

The divide is becoming more and more clear in the physical realm.

Well I'm glad they had to apologize. It just goes to show that America still believes in God. No matter how bad the left wants to rip God out of our nation, they're not going to get away with it that easily.

And whoever did that is a coward because they don't even have the guts to stand up for what they believe is right, but instead they gave some phony apology after they were caught.
