My prayer for all of us today is to be filled with so much love, especially towards our family, that we just overflow and bathe them in joy, peace, and hope. Jesus is coming soon!
In general, the love of family is so much greater than the love a friend. A family member who loves you suffers with you just as much you do.Proverbs 17:17 wrote:A friend loves at all times,
And a brother is born for adversity.
Even if we do not have family who suffers with us, we have a friend, in Jesus, who will never forsake us.Proverbs 18:24 wrote:A man of too many friends comes to ruin,
But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
Good morning all,
I have a special prayer today. I am involved in an Easter play. I haven't acted since high school and so was really looking forward to jumping in with both feet. Turns out, my kids got huge roles and I got a couple of sentences. At first, this was irritating to me (which should have been a HUGE sign of where my heart truly was). As time went by and I watched my kids, I realized just how special they are and how God is going to use them in a big way when their Daddy and Grandpa (my dad) come to watch the play. Both men are not saved and avoid anything related to church like the plague.
Turns out, we are actually going to tape the baptism scene in a real river. At first I was concerned because the river right now in the beautiful Pacific Northwest is a warm 40 degrees (NOT)! We are taping today at 2 p.m. Pacific time. Last night, I woke up around 2 a.m and God really spoke to my heart.
My Dad and husband never saw me get baptized 3 1/2 years ago. They have no idea that I am even playing that role in the play, let alone that we are taping an authentic baptism to play during the show. Isn't it absolutely just like our Awesome God to cast me in a baptism role and then actually send me under again for the taping? My heart is overflowing with the depth of His love right now.
My request is that I am able to perform this with a truly joyful spirit and that the cold temperatures won't ruin the shot. We only get one shot for the taping and I don't want to screw it up! Please pray that God will take this scene and move mighty mountains with it!!!!
As you may have read in some of my previous posts, I gave Jackie plenty of reason to distrust me before I was crucified with Christ... before the old me died. Unfortunately, Jackie has been hurt by several men in her life and she is not ready to be able to forgive us. I asked her to just postpone her plans, but she does not believe she can ever trust me again. I understand her feelings because she does not have the Holy Spirit to comfort her in those times when we need reassurance. So anyway... I had offered to help her in every way possible, but she declined.Operator wrote:Keith,

And, did you know the Lord takes special regard for those of us Unequally Yoked? His word speaks directly to us about this....
1 Corinthians 7:10-16
10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. 12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. 16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
