Whazzup with this website?

Postby Stillwatch on Sat Aug 23, 2008 9:20 am

OK, I'm pleased that my home IP is no longer being blocked from this site. I've been able to get here now for 2 days, which is nice. Going through a proxy was like navigating through mud, to say the least.

As of late last night, though, problems developed accessing the FP website. First I couldn't access it at all, and I tried through 2 computers, 3 browsers, and 4 different proxy servers in addition to my IP address. For a brief interlude, FP seemed to have entirely disappeared.

Then I was able to access the home page, but there is no content there at all, just the header and the links at the top, a link to 'more news', 'more commentary', and 'Holly's blog: spirit of error'. All of these lead to blank pages. There are no resources. The archives are blank. Actually, the only 2 links that work are the link to the support page for people to pay via pay pal and the link to this forum.

So...???? :idgi6:

All of my other web pages display and work normally.

How were you able to get this resolved, Stillwatch? I'm curious since it was not being blocked by this site. What did you find was the problem?

Evidently a server problem.

I didn't do anything. My IP address is still the same. I just basically gave up. I really didn't want to take it up with my ISP. I just felt it best not to go that route, so I would try the site from my home IP once a day, and if that didn't work I would just use the proxy. So a couple of days ago I was pleasantly surprised when I got to the home page from my regular IP address.

Evidently a server problem.

Whose server? Actually, it must be yours. I just tried the home page through a proxy server, and it's still missing most of the content.
