Egypt Islamist vows global caliphate in Jerusalem

“The capital of the United States of the Arabs will be Jerusalem," preacher tells thousands at Brotherhood rally.

Egypt’s Islamists aim to install a global Islamic caliphate with its capital in Jerusalem, a radical Muslim preacher told thousands of Muslim Brotherhood supporters in a clip released Monday.

“We can see how the dream of the Islamic caliphate is being realized, God willing, by Dr. Mohamed Mursi,” Safwat Higazi told thousands of Brotherhood supporters at a Cairo soccer stadium as Mursi – the movement’s presidential candidate – and other Brotherhood officials nodded in agreement.

“The capital of the caliphate – the capital of the United States of the Arabs – will be Jerusalem, God willing,” Higazi said. “Our capital shall not be in Cairo, Mecca or Medina,” he said, before leading the crowd in chants of “Millions of martyrs march toward Jerusalem.”....

I was just thinking about it this morning.
What would it take for the king of the north
to go (again) against the king of the south?
Somthing that Egypt would attempt?
While the king of the north wants
to beat all others to the punch
and declare himself the caliphate
Egypt makes an attempt (or statement)
that would enrage him and get the ball rolling.
Leading to :

“At the appointed time he will invade the South again
but this time the outcome will be different from what it was before.

Ships of the western coastlands will oppose him, and he will lose heart.
Then he will turn back and vent his fury against the holy covenant.
He will return and show favor to those who forsake the holy covenant.

Hi Tevye. I believe this has already occurred with Antiochus. Yet this part may be a partial fulfillment also. Nevertheless Egypt and Turkey have the largest military's, in the ME, not including Iran. With Arab spring nations attempting to become peaceful, especially Turkey, and the Muslim Brotherhood becoming a political moderate in appearance at least, I think this is all leading up to the covenant with death, Israel and muslims living together in a false peace, for a while anyway. How soon ? I think we are a ways off, yet the Lord can perform a quick work and we might be surprised at how rapid the changes come

I listened to Glenn Beck's "take" on this today. Several scriptures came to mind as I listened to this Egptian Islamist speak. I got chills listening to his speech.
