Hi Amy
When I try to understand a prophecy in Revelation, I first look back to see if I can find something similiar in what God gave to us before. In the case of the head wound, we see something similiar in Genesis where God promised a Savior that would someday crush the serpent's head. We know that this was accomplished at the cross, where Jesus gave Satan his fatal blow. Since the cross, we saints have had the authority to overcome Satan and his kingdom. So, it's my view the head wound could be symbolic of when Satan is given authority, for a short time, to overcome the saints. And since the head wound happened during the Roman Empire, it coming back could also be seen in the same way.
As far as the False Prophet's two horns are concerned, I'm leaning in the direction of thinking these two horns could be the strategic partnership between the EU and US, making the UN into a new international order. And it's my opinion the False Prophet will, like the first beast, be a person who has control of some kind of global kingdom -- like the UN.
The Greek in question can be interpreted a different way from the popular view that attempts to equate a name with the number. The alternative interpretation can mean something like an identifying document that gives authority, such as Recommendation 666 that provides the High Representative emergency powers and the document number 666 that created the Office. Whether it's these documents or not, I lean toward the latter interpretation.
