Dearest Yeshua,

Please continue to surround these men with thoughts of You. Bring them out of this earthly fog into a clear understanding of who You are and why You came for Your creation. Love them Lord and open their hearts to know You. Thank You.

Dearest Yeshua,

So many doubters. I pray that this Christmas season and remembrance of Your birth has left them questioning Your existence and plans for Your creation. Please tug on their hearts and draw them to You for the saving answers that they need. May they receive the best gift of all Lord, Your salvation and forgiveness. Amen.

Thank you SS. You are such a kind person. God bless you for your faithfulness in prayer. It would have been my greatest Christmas gift if my son would accept Christ as his Savior. But we can't give up hope and prayers that these young men will do that.

Dearest Yeshua,

Please impress upon these young men that they really do need salvation. 10 out of 10 people die. We're all marching towards that precipice. Show them they need to put You on like that saving parachute. Today is a great day to live for You Lord. Thank You for all You are doing in their lives this day. Amen.

Thank you Lord that we still have such caring people that are so devout to pray for the lost. Thank you for all you have done in our lives. Thank you for extending your mercey and grace each day. Thank you for being long suffering toward us. Most of all thank you for making a way for us to have an opportunity to have our sins covered by your precious blood. We ask that you would continue to knock on these hearts and lead the right people into their lives. Hear our earnest plea for these dear ones, in the name of Christ we ask, amen!

Re: 2 young men need salvation

Postby GodsStudent on Tue Jun 19, 2012 7:05 am

I was talking with my brother about healthy foods Sunday. Pineapple came up and he raged about how high it is in sugar. My response (and belief) is that anything God made for us to eat is profitable for us to eat. He went into a crazy rant about my bringing God into our conversation (as he says, "as usual!") and raged off. He came back an hour later as though the conversation didn't happen.

My husband was critical that I had caused the scene as I didn't honor my brothers request to "leave God out of it!" (sound familiar...as in, this is what our whole world wants to do, omit God from everything we do, say, think, etc!)

From my perspective, most of the time, I think about God and fit God into my thoughts concerning what I am talking about. When it comes to food, God is the Creator of that too, and often, the foods we (mankind) have created are harmful to our bodies, as we load them up with sugar, preservatives, and so forth...but God's foods are perfect, if we just eat them.....So I was only expressing my perspective, which I agree, varies from his.

If speaking about marital problems, a Christian would first think, "God's Covenant" and be very careful to encourage another towards their single mindedness. If we aren't a Christian, the perspective of the speaker is on the "self," with the covenant union being secondary.

My point is that I have trouble talking with my brother as I have scriptures rolling around in my head and God on the tip of my tongue, and he is from a completely different mindset, considering his own ways and thoughts to be superior to anything I can contribute, as my thoughts are "bought in to....as though brainwashed and not thinking for myself."

I know he is under conviction and his reaction is anger. He rages as he asserts his disbelief of Christ. He tells us he believes in "a god" and knows there is one, but he is not buying the Jesus as Savior thing. His wife reaches out to me sometimes concerning this, and we are both praying for him, but he only rages when the issue comes up, so of course, we try to avoid it like the plague.

How are things with Adam and Nathaniel?

Nathan turned 27 on your last post, June 19th, Lisa. Just seems like yesterday that he was the little babe I cradled in my arms and now he stands 6'2. He still lives with me and is and has become more introverted as the years have gone by. He has no motivation and has very low self esteem. I worry about him and wonder if something happend to me would he be able to carry on, to thrive on his own. :( But my greatest fear is that if something should happen to him, what would become of his soul? I have not been the perfect mother, have made some very bad choices over the years but have always tried to teach him right from wrong. If anything my worst mistake has been being over-protective due to his dad being so absent in his life after we divorced right at 17 years ago. All I know is that when I pray I always tell the Lord that my greatest desire is for my son to give his life to Him before he leaves this earth. So God knows the desires of my heart and I have ask for mercy over Nathan and to never give up on him even until his last breath is taken on this earth. I really do not know what else to do. I will never give up on praying for him and I have faith that God will honor my request too because there are so many others here whom have prayed the same. My prayers are with Todd and Adam also for I know they have loved ones such as yourself whom feel exactly like I do. Actually I'm surprised that more family members are not brought here for prayer request if they haven't accepted Christ yet. There is no shame in praying for one another. That is what we are to do. God bless all whom have done so on these young men's behalf. I know it means the world to me. No greater gift could I recieve. :hugs2:

God is able, Laney. I have to remind myself, and I am acutely aware that I am not. It's funny, we hired my brother to build our house, so I see and talk with him all the time, but I always have this thing going on in the back of my mind that I would much rather be witnessing to him than talking with him about whatever it is we are presently talking about. I know it's off limits, but I refuse to stop being myself in his company. I refuse to bow to his demand that we not even mention the name of the Lord. He wouldn't mind if I were general, as in "god in general," but the name of Jesus is an automatic atomic bomb with him.....there is a good reason for this.....there is POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

So....I will continue to pray in Jesus name for my brother. Only Jesus.

....and I will love my brother, not brow beat him with conscience discussions meant to stir up the issue of his lack of salvation (to the best of my ability), talk about the Lord when on those very few occasions I am able without causing a crisis, and I will pray that the Lord will do what I am acutely aware I cannot do much about.....soften his heart.

I am still praying for them all....Nathan (Nathaniel), Todd and Adam. Lord, please do a work in their lives.

I heard a story on Christian radio the other day about a man who prayed his whole life for one of his best friends. This man went to be with the Lord before he saw the fruit of his prayers. The man he had prayed for got saved after he died. I was so encouraged to hear this story, God hears our prayers for our sons and your brother...I believe ! Hebrews 11:1 Until God says otherwise I believe they will be with us in eternity even if we don't get to see it here on earth. Adam is softening, we were talking a couple days ago about what really matters in this life, I said the most important thing is to love God and love others...he didnt reject what I said or debate it which gives me great hope that he is contemplating things. He turns 20 in October and after a 2 year separation where he would barely speak with me (he went to live with his dad) he came back, our relationship has been restored which is a miracle since his dad wanted him to hate me. God is moving...I continue to pray for Nathaniel and Todd and I am so thankful for all the people who are agreeing with us. Not enough words to express my gratitude for you all. in the grace and peace of our Lord ...rachel
