Last night on The Blaze's "The Real News", they were saying counterfeit money was being produced as an attempt to super-inflate Iran's currency as an economic warfare strategy. I know Hitler tried using this against Brittian in WW2, paying many German Nazis with it and having them spread it around.

That's very interesting because my first thoughts when I read this story were
about pre-WWII Germany and how the German Mark lost so much value
leading to the fall of the Weimar Republic, the rise of the Third Reich...
how the connections between Iran and old Germany are so intriguing
and that history right now may just be repeating itself...

They said it was shortly before his commiting suicide, and that's when it was stopped and failed to induce a full collapse, but I didn't do much research into it myself. I'm going to have to check into a little more now..

There is a movie called, THE COUNTERFEITER, it is about as exciting as watching paint dry, subtitled and all, but great for it's historic value....
