"The way we Walk as Believers"

"The way we Walk as Believers"

Good morning Family.
Praise God it is raining cats and dogs as we say down home out side this morning. Just think there was 6 inches of snow on the ground at my house Sunday but non there is non. Lets us rejoice in the Lord for He is good to His children. we have peace and good will that flows out from Him each and every day amen.

This morning as i drove into work the Lord brought to mind that which He laid on my heart last night to post a study on. It is called -"The believers Walk." It will be rather long so lets get started by asking the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

As begin to look at this new study i found a least 10 ways that we as Believers in Christ must walk. There are more i am sure but these are the ones that the Lord laid up on my heart to look into amen.

The first one is found in Rom 6:4 and gives us a true picture of the beginning of our Believers walk.

It is called The Believers walk in the newness of life

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

"therefore" This is the answer that was asked in verse 3. and we need to look at this to get the true picture of what the Spirit is telling us.

Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

"The question that is laid out before us is this.

1- Know ye not.

2- that when we was baptized into Jesus Christ

3- That we were baptized into His death also.

As we look at this- it is important to us that we know what it means to be baptized into Christ Jesus. Some of us have never been taught this very impotent lesson so we do not know how to begin this new walk of the believer. So we stumble around like a the new born baby that we are with no one to teach us how to get up on our two feet ( Spiritually speaking) and begin this new walk that we are called to walk.

This word "Baptized" is from the word (Baptizo) and it is not to be confused with the word (bapto) which means to be submerged into water.

The word (Baptizo) means to be submerged into the likeness of the one that we have been baptized with. (This is a Spiritual submerging with our Lord and Savior where we take on the ability to become just as He is)

(When used in the New Testament, this word (Baptized-baptizo) more often refers to our union and identification with Christ than to our water baptism. e.g. Mr 16:16 . 'He that believes and is baptised shall be saved'. Christ is saying that mere intellectual assent is not enough. There must be a union with him, a real change, Which gives the meaning of becoming like Him)

Ok now That we have learn what the word baptism means to us we need to see just it is that we are baptized into (submerged into the likeness)

We are baptized into the likeness of Christ Jesus who has died and through His death and resurrection has saved us so that we can become like Him in every way.

"were baptized into his death"

See Folks we was also changed just as He was changed after His death and reassertion.

1Cr 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.

2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

So now this will bring us to the first lesson in this study called.

The new believers walk in the newness of life.

So bless the Lord we will have to wait until the next time because i have ran out of time. until then God bless each and ever one.
Good morning Family.

Praise God yesterday when i drove home after work it was raining so hard that i could not hardly see the road. This morning as i went out to my truck i saw the stars for the first time in over a week amen Praise His Holy name for ever more. It is in Him to bless His children today with hope and peace and the joy of life that is in His Son Christ Jesus. amen. So come before Him this morning with joy and Thanksgiving in our hearts and sing a song of peace,a song of joy for all the great things that He has done for us amen.

This morning as i drove into work i begin to rejoice in my heart for the new life that i have (we have) in Christ Jesus. We have been baptized into the likeness of His death so that we can walk in newness of life. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us concerning this new life that we have in His Son. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

We have learn that this word "therefore" that is used here is a reminder to us that we have been baptized into Christ Jesus and have been baptized into His death also.

This word "therefore' also gives us a cause and effect. Meaning that because we are baptized into Christ Jesus and have been baptized into His death this will be the effect of that baptism.

"we are buried with him by baptism into death:"

This sentence above means this. To be buried with Him. This is; the picture of our partaking of water baptism that signifies this to the world We are buried together with Christ Jesus in His death. This is the Water Baptism that we partake in that is (For all who in the rite of believer's baptism are plunged into the water, thereby declare that they put faith in the expiatory death of Christ for the pardon of their past sins; therefore Paul likens baptism to a burial by which the former sinfulness is buried, and utterly taken away.)

This Baptism does not include the way to be saved for the one who partakes of this water baptism has already been saved. This partaking of the Water Baptism is the showing of good faith that shows to the world that they have been baptized into Christ Jesus.

There are many, many saints that have gone home to be with the Father with out being baptized in water. My Mother being one of them.

This death that we are baptized ( baptizo) into is the Spiritual baptism that is the real life experience of our actual Spiritual death of one way of life (sin) and raised into a new way of life. (righteousness) It is the crossing over from the kingdom of darkness (sin) into the kingdom of light.(righteousness)

"that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father"

"that like as Christ" means we will experience ( even as Christ the anointed one) experienced.

"was raised" ( to arouse from the sleep of death,) Folks this has a double meaning to it. It contains both the spiritual and physical aspect to it. One meaning is that now the new spiritual life comes first and then later the physical where in the near further we will be given our new bodies that has both the spiritual and physical elements to it. Where as now our old nature is still alive in us but our new nature is spiritual alive in Him. So that when the day comes that we receive our new bodies the old nature will be no more. we will become like Christ Jesus in every way.Hallelujah come quickly Lord Jesus.

"up from the dead by the glory of the Father"

"up from the dead means that once we was given up to trespasses and sins that was ( destitute of a life that recognizes and is devoted to God,) Now when we was raise up with Christ Jesus we received the ability to once again recognize God and to worship him in the newness of life.

This is all done "By the Glory of God" meaning that ( the kingly majesty which belongs to him as supreme
ruler, majesty in the sense of the absolute rule and power to do His will as what pleases Him.) This is ( of that condition with God the Father in heaven to which Christ was raised after he had achieved his work on earth )

Rom 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Rom 15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.

"even so we also should walk in newness of life." It is given unto us this condition that to make one's way, progress; to make due use of opportunities of this new life to pass one's life so that it will be well pleasing unto our Father God.

2Cr 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

"in newness of life"

"Newness" is the new state of life in which the Holy Spirit places us so as to produce a new state which is eternal life.

Ok now folks this is what this Walking in the newness of life means to all believers in Christ Jesus. All we who have been baptized into Him have been commanded that we shall walk in.

NEWNESS OF LIFE Is that life that which is real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ, but after the resurrection to be consummated by new accessions (among them a more perfect body), and to last for ever.

We can only achieve this new life when we are baptized into Christ Jesus This is the message that all new believer must learn that in order for them to live this life that is in Christ Jesus

Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

This ends this study on the walk of the believer in the newness of life next we will look at the Believer's Walk by Faith.
Good morning Family!
There is an great anticipation for the return of our Lord and Savior to come and take us home amen. Let us rejoice and make ready ourselfs to meet Him who is our Husband. It is He the Lord great and mighty. That is to come with power and might to take us home with Him for evermore. We will shad this earthy tabernacle and put on the tabernacle of mortality to be for ever with the Lord. Great and mighty is He, rejoice this morning for He is hornored above all things. amen hallelujah praise His Holy name. Jesus,Jesus is His name.

This morning as i drove into work there was in me the excitement of learning more about this "believers Walk" that we have embarked on and how to really teach it here and in the Church ;that i attend.. The Lord impressed upon me that this study on the believers walk must be taught to all new believers that come to Him.

That this has been missing form His Son's body therefore making it weak in some area. I have noticed that in some of the Churches that i have attended though the years that when a person is converted and become a believer that they are not taught What it is to be a believer in Christ Jesus and there walk is not as it should be before the Lord.

They are put into an on going class that is way over there head and they become lost and or disscuraged. I can attest to this my self because when i become a believer i felt lost and a little on the out side looking in because i could not understand. Yet i was not ready to go understand because i was a new babe in Christ and had not been taught how to walk in Him.

So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us . Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen

Now this next part of this study on the "Believer's Walk is called.

WE Walk By Faith.

Ok now as a now believer in Christ we hae learn from the first lesson that we become new babies in Christ and have learned that we then began walking in Newness of life.

Ok now so what comes next for this new believer to learn?

I believe that it is important to teach them a about the "walk in Faith."

There are several aspect of this walk of faith that the new believer needs to learn. Which we will try to cover in this part of the study as the Lord leads.

1- Is that we walk by faith and not by sight which we will cover in the first part.

2- Next we will see what is faith.

3-Next we learn who is the author of our faith.

4- Next we will learn that with out faith we can not please God.

5- Next how is our faith directed towards God.

I think that in order for the new believer to understand His new walk He must come to terms with This new man that He or She has become. A good place to start is here in 2cr 5:1.

2Cr 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Ok now we see that as a new man in Christ Jesus. That in fact (truth) our old bodies that we live in is slowly dieing so to speak and is being dissolved so that the new building of God is being built in us that is not made by earthly hands but is being build by spiritual hands that will cause the new house that we live in to live eternal in the heavens with God. amen.

This is being accomplish by the way by The Holy Spirit that God has sent to us to Help us in this walk as believer's in Christ Jesus. It is by His Spiritual hands that we are being built up precept upon precept.

WE can not stay as new babies in Christ for long. We must start to grow in this precept upon precept.

This is the job of the Holy Spirit living in us. But let me say here that we can stymie His word in Us if and when we do not feed our new man with the word of God.

Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts.

Isa 28:10 For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little

1Pe 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

If there is not a desire to go from the milk on into the meat of the word we will stay as babies with out growth and with out the power of God working in us.

1Pe 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

2Cr 5:5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing [is] God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
Ok now in verse 5 above we have the promise of God that He has given us the ernest of the Spirit to help us in our Faith Walk in Him.

2Cr 5:6 Therefore [we are] always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
By this promise from God we then can be confident in knowing while we are still living here on earth in our old bodies we are absent from the lord.

2Cr 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight

Now this leads us to this great truth from the Word of God.

As believers in His Son Christ Jesus .

"for we walk" this is the picture of the Believer living his life in such a way as this.

1-( to make one's way,

2- It is a progress;

3- to make due use of opportunities that God sends our way.

4- To live ones life in such a way.

5- to regulate one's life by the ordences of God

6- to conduct one's self that will be pleasing to God.

7-to pass one's life in such a way that it will shine for the glory of God.

You See folks this is the functions of this believer's walk.

Ok now the question now is how do we actually walk the walk?

Answer "By Faith" and not by "sight"

Lets look at this and learn what it means to us.

" By" Is the Picture of ( the ground or reason by which something is or is not done) and for this very reason this is how it is done.)

"faith" Is a this to us ( the conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ )

Also this ( a strong and welcome conviction or belief that Jesus is the Messiah, through whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God )

And this ( belief with the predominate idea of trust (or confidence whether in God or in Christ, springing from faith in the same)

"and not by sight" This will give us the picture of how wee are not to walk.

"and Not is this to us.( to be able, have power whether by virtue of one's own ability and resources, or of a state of mind,

"by Sight"

'by' ( by the means of )

"sight" ( to turn the eyes, the mind, the attention to anything
to pay attention, observe to see about something with our natural eyes) for they only see things in the flash which are aganist to the spiritual things of God.

Folks God has instructed us to walk by faith and not by sight. Just think how great it would of have been if we was taught this truth from God; from the being of our walk with Him.

Next we will look into and learn just what is this faith that the world of God talks about amen.
Good morning Family!

Well praise the Lord it is cold outside this fine day that the Lord has given us up here in the north country of NH. It snow yesterday and we are expecting a Northeaster that will dump an ex amount of snow here . They do not know yet the path that it will take but we know for sure that we will get some snow out of it no matter which path it takes. Come with me into the courts of our Father to worship Him in the beauty of Holiness. Give Him all the Glory that is due His name.

This morning as i drove into work i begin to think about faith and what it means for the Walk of the Believer. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now the verse that we will first look at is in Hebrew 11:1

Lets look at each word in this verse and see what the Spirit is telling us.

Hbr 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

This word "now that is used here tells us that we need to go back and look at the chapter 10 and see what it is that this word "now" contains

Hbr 10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

Here God is telling us that the Just shall live by Faith. The very Spiritual truth that we are looking into.

"The Just" that means all the one's who has come to the Lord and have believed upon Him and has been justified by His blood that cleansed us from our sins.

The Lord says that the Just Shall live by faith. This word "live" is a way of life

"live" ( to live i.e. pass life- meaning the walk that we embark upon in this new life_ it includes the manner of our living and acting as we walk in the newness of this life in Christ Jesus. It will be Christ like.

It is a walk of faith that is pleasing to our Father God that will be active, that will be blessed, that will be endless in the kingdom of God which is called "eternal life"

Hbr 10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Here God is tell us not to draw back into perdition but to continue on in this walk of faith because it is to the saving of our souls.

Ok now on to the meaning of this thing called faith that we are called to walk in.

What is faith?.The word of God says this about faith.

Hbr 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

1- "now Faith is" This ( It is the strong and welcome conviction or belief (Key word here is believe) that Jesus is the Messiah, through whom we obtain eternal salvation in the kingdom of God.)

"Key word Is Believe"

Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Now what is believing have to do with our Faith?

It has been put in all men's heart the desire to return to his loving creator. (Our Father God) this is denied by many, many people but yet they can not explain the loneliness and emptiness of their hearts.

Along with this faith to believe is; the belief with the predominate idea of trust (or confidence) in the word of God that it is absolute true and that this faith (trust and confidence) must be directed to Christ Jesus in order to walk this walk of Faith.

" Is the substance of things hoped "

"Is" Is a very important word to us and it carries this meaning.

This Faith is

1- to be

2-to exist

3- to happen

4- to be present

"The Substance" Is this ( It is the confidence and firm trust and assurance of the the substantial quality, nature, of the person called Christ Jesus the Son of God.

"of things hoped for" Folks this is not things ( Like material things of this world But it is the spiritual things of God's Kingdom) That can only be gained through Christ Jesus.

It is He (Christ Jesus) that is the author of our hope,It is He who is its(Our Hope of salvation) foundation And the very thing that we have hoped for. (the filling of that void and emptiness of our Hearts.

This word "things: is is put here in this form (plural) because it includes all the riches of God's kingdom that comes with our salvation in Christ Jesus.

"hoped for" This means to eagerly ( to wait for salvation with joy and full confidence as we walk this walk of faith.

"the evidence of things not seen."
We do not and have not yet seen the full completion of our salvation yet but we eagerly hope for and wait for it's completion in our lives.

"the evidence" is this ( the proof, that by which a thing is proved) You see folks God has poured out His Holy Spirit in us as His proof for our salvation.

1Jo 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

1Cr 2:10 But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

You see it is the Holy Spirit that God has sent to us that will give us the string th to walk this walk of Faith that we have embarked on.

"of things not seen." Have we yet yet seen the things that God has waiting for in in His Kingdom? We have not yet seen them but our hope is in the author of our salvation by faith believing that God is true to His word to us.

"Of Things" (that which is or exists).

"not seen" ( to have (the power of) understanding and
to discern mentally, observe, perceive, discover, understand )

1Cr 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

By Faith we can except those things that God has prepared for us in Heaven.

Our walk in faith must be walked by the love that we have for our Father God. .

You see with out this faith it will be impossible to please Him.

1Th 4:1 Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort [you] by the Lord Jesus, that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, [so] ye would abound more and more.

Hbr 11:6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Folks our walk by faith must be directed toward Christ Jesus in order for us to be able to learn about our Father God.

Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

This Walking in the newness of life includes a deep abiding walk that is a walk of faith in the one that has redeemed us and has provided the way back to our Father God. amen Glory to God in the Highest.

Next we will look at the walk of the believer in the Spirit.
Good morning Family.

Enter into his courts with praise and thanksgiven. Lift up your hands ye people of God and let your hearts be merry before Him. It is because of His great Love for us His children that we have been granted access by His Son Christ Jesus. Tell Him of you love that you have for Him He egerly liston to the pouring out of our hearts unto Him . Praise Him Praise Him all you little children. He loves us beyound meassure for all glory and mercy belongs to Him to give unto us amen.

This morning as i drove into work I begin to think about our next step on our walk as a believer in Christ Jesus. We have looked at the walk in newness of life and the walk in faith now after these things we must learn how to "Walk in the Spirit." So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

the LOrd led me to this verse in Gal 5:16. Lets look at it and see the walk of the believer in the Spirit concept that is presented to us amen

Gal 5:16 [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

All things of God is revolved around His Holy Spirit for it is He that will guide us and teach us the truths of God's word to us.

So then we must take a look at verse 13 in oreder to see what it is that the Spirit is teaching us about our walk in Him.

Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another .

He the Spirit of God is telling us that we have been called unto liverty: And that we must be careful to over step our freedom that we have in This walk in the newness of life that we have in Christ Jesus.

We have been set free from the servent hood of serving the old man called Flash This libeerty is only to be used to serve one another in Love.

The question is how do we do this?

How so we stay free from the law of our flash?

It is found in verse 16 and is called "The Believer's walk in the Sprit"

Gal 5:16 [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

You see now that we have become believers and that we have started out in this new way of Walking in Him (Christ Jesus). There is a new war that is started in our eartly house.

WE now have been given a new look on our walk in this life. The way that we look at things of this Word will be different when we look at them through the eys of the Spirit as we start out on this "Walk in the Spirit" as we live here on earth.

We must learn to trun our desires for this World unto the desires for The Heavenly Kingdom of God.

1Jo 2:16 For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

"this i say then"
"this i say is this ( to exhort, advise, to command, direct in to a new way for your walk in this new life that you have imbarked on.)

"then" ( now hear this, listen to what the Lord is telling us about this new walk).

"WALK IN THE SPIRIT"

"Walk"

1- means to make one's way,

2- it is a learned progress;

3- to make due use of opportunities.

4- to live

5- os as regulate one's life

6- to conduct one's self in a totaly new way of living His or Her life here on earth.

"in The Spirit"
Now this is they way.

He the Holy Spirit of God is a person and should never be address in any other way but on a very personal level.

He is the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son. That Has been sent from God to be our guide and teacher and much, much more.

When we walk in His He will guide us into Godly truth.

.Jhn 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

He will abide with us for ever. this means that He will live with in the Believers for ever.

Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

He is sent to be our teacher. But inoreder for The Sprit to do this fro us we must have the Word of God in us. This means that we must have a daily reading and study fo the Word of God inorder for The Sprit to draw upon.

Jhn 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

One of The Spirit's Job is to testify of Christ Jesus in us. It says that He is sent form the Father so that you will know that He is real and isi of God the Father.

One of the Spirit's titals is ""THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH" AND HE PROCEEDS FROM THE FATHER SO THAT THERE IS NO MISSUNDERSTANDING OF WHERE HE COMES FROM.

Jhn 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

In John 16:7 is the promise of Christ Jesus that He will send the Holy Spirit to us at the time of our new life in Him.

Ok now then there is this battle that is going on in the believers life for control of his spirit.

This is the battle between the old sin nature and the new nature that is of the righteousness of Christ Jesus. Our new man.

"and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."

You see folks when we learn to "Walk in the Spirit' we shall not fulfill the lust of the flash.

How then do we "walk in the Spirit?"

It is by daily inviting Him to take control of our lives. By Daily feeding Him the Word of God so that He has it as mighty weapons that are spiritual and mighty for the pulling down of strong holds.

It is by a continuly surrendering of our lives unto Him.

2Cr 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds

You see when we "Walk in the Spirit" there is no earthy law that can control us. Because He is governed by The law of God which is totaly spiritual in nature.

The Spiritual law of God is for filled by the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Next we will look at the believer's call to "Walk worthy" in this newness of life that we have in Christ Jesus.
Good morning Family.

Praise the Lord for He is great and His mercy is ever lasting. Family worship at His feet this morning. Tell Him how much that you love Him. let not any thing be held back in you worship of Him today. We have our life's meaning in Him for He has given unto us new life that will last forever and into eternity. praise you Father hallelujah Glory to His name. Inter into His courts with praise and thanksgiving. Rejoice for He has made us alive for evermore in His Son Christ Jesus. amen

This morning as i drove into work the next part of this study on the Believer's walk called "We are to walk worthy" in the newness of life that has been given unto us. We will look at Eph 4:1. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

Paul plea to the new believer and i may add to all believer's in Christ is that we all might "walk worthy of our Calling. There is a lot here to learn about walking worthy of our calling.

Paul by the Holy Spirit calls out to us as even he is a prisoner of the lord so are we to be as He is .

Being a prisoner of the lord means that we have submitted into Him as His bond servant. Always remembering that we was once a bond servant to satan nd that we have been set free from His captive and we are then to submit unto the one who has set us Free.

You see we have entered into a new life in Christ Jesus that requires a new way of walking with new goals and new purpose in life. One that is free from the sins that has separated us for the Father.

Because for this truth Paul has cried out to all believers though out the ages that we are to "walk worthy of calling.

"beseech you " ( to call aloud, utter in a loud voice that is directed personally to each one of us that is a believer in Christ Jesus) You see The Holy Spirit is calling out to each one of us through Paul.

In this calling He is addressing each one of by name. this beseeching is in the form of (to address, speak to, (call to, call upon), which may be done in the way of exhortation, entreaty, comfort, instruction)

"You" This word you includes all those who have through belief in Christ Jesus has started out on the Walk of Newness of life.

What is the calling to each one of us?

It is this.

"that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,"

Remember that we said before that this word "walk" is this.
1- to make one's way, progress;

2- to make due use of opportunities

3- to live

4- to regulate one's life

5- to conduct one's self

6- in such a way as to pass one's life that will be pleasing to our Father God.

"Worthy" ( means this that our walk will be befitting, congruous, corresponding to this great calling that we have been called to walk in.)

"of the vocation "

This word Vocation has these meaning to it.

1- calling,

2- calling to

3- a call, invitation

4- to a feast

5- it is a call unto the vocation (Way of life) of the divine invitation to embrace salvation of God. This Salvation is in of and only through His Son Christ Jesus. The only way that we can receive this vocation (Newness of life) is to Believe in His Son Christ Jesus.

"wherewith ye are called," Folks there is the idea of a double calling on our lives that is presented here.

1- we are called unto Salvation in Christ Jesus.

2- then we are called to walk worthy in this calling unto salvation.

Next we will look at "how do we as a child of God walk worthy of our calling unto our salvation.
Good morning Family.

Praise God it has been bitter cold up here in NH. We are going to get another big snow storm on Friday they are tell us. Let it snow, let it snow. Worship the Lord with joy in your hearts dear ones of God in this day. Bow down at His feet in total surrender unto Him. For it in the surrendering of our selfs unto Him that He is well pleased. For He is Glorious and worthy to be praised.

This morning as i drove into work i begin to wonder just how we are to "walk worthy in this great calling that God has placed on us. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God;s truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now last time we have learned that God has called the "believer" to "walk worthy in our calling that we have been call unto.

This is not a option on our part. This is a command from our Father. "To walk Worthy"

Now God in His mercy has not left us on our own in this walk of worthiness. He has left us instructions and His Spirit to guide us in our walk. amen.

Jhn 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

The Believer's walk of worthiness is listed in the following verses below. we will take a look a each one of them to gather their truth to us.

Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

1- Walk with all lowliness and meekness"

This word "with" that is used here is a word that tells us that we have a goal to achieve in this "walk of worthiness"

a- all lowliness" this word "all this is used here implies that it is a walk ( by the means of and the ground or reason by which something is or is not done)

"Lowliness" This gives us the picture of the Believer who has learned this about Him self.( He will have humble opinion of one's self in the light of God's word to us. God's word will give the believer a deep sense of one's (moral) littleness when He comes face to face with a righteous God.

This meeting of the righteousness of God will cause the believer to have a modesty about himself that will bring humility and, lowliness of mind.

Not that he is not worthy in God's sight but the revelation of God will cause the believer to understand how lowly that he is in comparison to God.

Isa 6:5 Then said I, Woe [is] me! for I am undone; because I [am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.

"and meekness" As the believer starts to understand who He is in God's sight the spirit of meekness will rise up in side.

This spirit of meekness will cause the believer to begin his walk in gentleness, mildness with all meekness with the understanding that God's mercy, grace and His Holy Spirit is the giver of this spirit that swells up inside him or her as a child of God.

"with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;"

This will be a worthy walk "with longsuffering"

This gives us the picture of the believer's walk of worthiness as being patience with endurance of what life gives him. His walk will be with constancy with the word of God that will bring steadfastness, perseverance in His walk as a believer that has been called to "walk worthy of His calling"

This walking in longsuffering will cause the believer to be slow in avenging the wrongs that the world throws his way.He will soon learn to surrender all of his or her this avenging spirit on to the Lord.

Rom 12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but [rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance [is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Mat 11:30 For my yoke [is] easy, and my burden is light.

We will continue next by looking farther into the question of how to walk worthy?
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Mon Dec 12, 2005 3:25 am

Good morning Family.
God is ful of grace and full of mercy towards his creation. He waits whig great love for us to make up ou minds concerings the things of God that He has giving unto us. It is by His Spirit that we are able to descern the things of Godf rom the wiles of the devil.Give HIm Glory and praise His Holy Name. Let us enter into a time of worship and thanksgivng unto Him,For in the giving of thanks unto Him we will receive.

This morning as i drove into work the Lord started to deal with me on the closing up this part of the study on "The believer's walk of being worthy." Last week we started to learn how to accomplish this "worthy walk" That we are call into. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now so far we have learned that this walk must be done with love that is directed by these attributes.

1- Walk with lowliness

2- walk with meekness.

3-This walk must be accomplished with longsuffering.

4 This walk must be in the forbearing one another in love;

Now there is the question Just who is this One another?

Is it not the all those that make up the Family of God.

The words love one another occur in 19 verses, including 12 exact phrase matches shown first: This is a important revealation to us. In all the verse that has this (Love one another in them) it is always refering to the family of God. Our brothers and sister in the Lord.

It is asked of us how can we love the unbeliever of this world when we can not even love our brothers and sister in God's kingdom?

Jhn 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Jhn 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Jhn 15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

Rom 13:8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

1Th 4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:

1Jo 3:11 For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

1Jo 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

1Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

1Jo 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another

1Jo 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

2Jo 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

This love for one another is so important to us that Jesus has said this about this love that we must love one another with.In matter of fact it is His commandment to us.

Jhn 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Jhn 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Why? It is because it is by this love that we love one another that the unbelievers of this world will know that we belong to Jesus and that we are His followers (deciples). That we have intered into the Kingdom of God through Christ Jesus.

Any thing less then this love that we love one another will not be worthy in God sight. If we do not walk as being worthy then we will have disobayed His commandment to us.

I believe that there is a lot of the churches out there is teaching that we must love the unbelivers of this world by passing the love of the brothern in order to bring them into the church when it is the other way around. It is the love of Christ that is in us as we love one another that will bring the unbeliever in to the Body of Christ.

Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ok now this next verse tells us that we must endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit.

"Endeavouting"

1- means to make haste, with haste don't wast time in accompliching this goal of loveing one another.

2- with earnestness, diligence

3- this earnestness is in accomplishing, promoting, or striving after anything esp.- The walk of loving one another

4-) to give all diligence, This means that we are to pay close attention in the way that we are to walk in love towards one another.

5- we must gear the interest of one's self with the utmost care that has this goal of loving one another most earnestly.

"to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

"to keep" is this ( to attend to carefully, take care of and to guard that which you have set your mind upon doing. This Love that is in us is a preisious theng that is from God and it is the very embodiment of Jesus's Love for us as an indiviual person in the Body of Christ.

"the unity" Siomply means that we are to be in agreement with one another.

"of the Spirit" ( He is the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son )
Folks H (The Holy Spirit) is never referred to as a depersonalised force. He is a person.

"in the bond of peace"

"bond" this signifies the powerfull love of the Father it is His love for us that donds us together and when we disply His love towards one another then there can be nothen seperate us from HIm.

Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

"of peace" this bond of peace comes from the Love of Jesus Christ that is in us as we love one another.

( It is the pease of Christianity, the tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and content with its earthly lot, of whatsoever sort that is .

This peace that forms out of this bond of Love of the Father that is in us through His Son Christ Jesus. will bring peace between individuals that promotes harmony, concord in the bodly of Christ that is called the Church.

Will continue next time on this "walking worthy of the Believer"
Good morning Family.

Praise the Lord this morning. The temp. is just above O" and boy is it cold with the wind blowing it goes right through a person.

Folks we are the reason that He (Jesus) came to this earth and died . Our sins was what brought Him and it was for the payments of those sins that He came to earth for us. Praise His Holy name for He has taken our place in death so that we will have a way back to the Father. We live because the Father brought Him back from death with power and love. Because of Him we can face tomorrow. Because of Him we live and have our being with purpose of the great privilege of reflecting the Glory of God on this earth.

This morning as i drove into work God was dealing with me in this walk of the believer that is to be worthy. He showed me some things that i would like to share with you in this study. Things; that has a deep profound truth to us as we allow the Holy Spirit to reveal them to us. So let ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

There is a oneness in the triune God Head that we must look into today.

Jesus told the Disciples that He must leave to return back to the Father so that The Holy Spirit can be sent to the Believers to help them.

Jhn 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jhn 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Folks when you read these verse there is one thing that stands out in them. It is this. Jesus said that He must go back to the Father in order that the Holy Spirit can be sent to the believer.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son.

1-He is coequal meaning that He exists in the Father and the Son.

2-He is coeternal meaning that He has always existed in the Father and the Son from the beginning of eternal time that the triune God head exists in.

Now we must ask our self why did Jesus tell us that He must leave and go back the the Father?

The answer is found in this verse in John 16:7.

Jhn 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

Jesus as the now Man God in the flash i believe had to go back to be with the Father in order for the Holy Spirit to be able to depart from Heaven as was planed of the Father from eternal past.

You See i do not think that Jesus as the Man God living here on earth was given the capability to be every where at the same time while he was here in earth.

The Holy Spirit has that capability because He is the Spirit of both the Father and the Son and has that capability of being in every believer at the same time.

Now there is a uniqueness of oneness that dwells in the triune God head that has been passed on to the Believer.

Eph 4:4 [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

1- one body These one body gives us this picture of the believer. ( to preserve one who is in danger of destruction,
to save or rescue This is body is also is used of the picture of the vast numbers of believers that make up the body of Christ Jesus that is called (the Church) this body of believers is called the family of God as it were; it is a spiritual and a social, ethical, mystical body that is a great mystery to the unbelievers of this world.

This body (the church) has in its spiritual mandate to reflect the Glory of the Father. This Glory of the Father is the consummation of the Triune God Head that makes up the uniqueness of the Oneness of the Believer.

2- on Spirit- 1) the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son He embodies the spiritual nature of Christ who is higher than the highest angels and equal to God. He ( the Holy Spirit) represents and is somehow how in His spiritual nature represents the divine nature of Christ. He is God and at the same time He is the Son of God. This is a mystery that will only be revealed in it truest form when we get to heaven.

1Cr 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

1Jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3-.even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

"Even as ye are called" Folks this represents the personnel call from god one each one of Us. He called ( call aloud, utter in a loud voice to invite to called by name ) to represent and bare the name of the one who died for us. (Christ Jesus) You See we are one in Him.

1Cr 8:6 But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him.

Eph 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him:

Next we will look at Eph 4:5-6 to continue learning about our oneness that we are in Christ.
Good morning Family.
Great is the Love of the Father for His children. He desires for us to walk worthy in His love.

Folks WE are the reason that Jesus left heaven and came to earth. We are the reason that He suffered and died on that old rugged cross. WE are reason; that He rose from the grave. We are the reason that He went back to the Father. We are the reason that He sent the Holy Spirit to indwell us. It is on our behalf that He stands before the Father and intercedes for us.

HE IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.

This morning as i drove into to work i begin to thing about the oneness of the God Head Triune and How it affects the Believers walk of worthiness.Let us ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Eph 4:4 [There is] one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

Yesterday we learned that there is this about our oneness with the Triune Godhead.

1- One body- Called the Church.

2- One Spirit- referring to the Holy Spirit that indwells us.

3- One hope of our calling- This calling is only through Christ Jesus for He is our Hope. This hope is the Hope of eternal life and Life eternal.

Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

So now in verse 5 we will learn that there is.

4-One Lord- This signifies that there is only one Person that is entitled to be called LORD. ( the owner; one who has control of the person, the master, in the state being the Kingdom of God.He has complete sovereign over all.

The term (LORD)-Is a title of honor expressive of respect and reverence, with which servants greet their master. Which in this case ( Is the only case) is God the Father of all creation. This title is given to: God, the Messiah, The triune God Head that consists of God the Father, Christ Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit The 3rd person of the God Head. They are and have three distinct personality's but yet they are one.

5-one faith- Is the conviction of the truth of anything, belief; in the NT of a conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, generally with the included idea of trust and holy fervor born of faith and joined with it is the conviction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal
salvation through Christ.

The final conviction that says with absolute truth that Jesus is the Messiah, through whom we obtain eternal salvation in
the kingdom of God.

Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

6-one baptism- The word "baptism" When used in the New Testament refers to our union and identification with Christ than to our water baptism. Read Mr 16:16 . 'He that believes and is baptized shall be saved'.
Christ is saying here that mere intellectual assent is not enough. There must be a union with him, a real change in the heart and life of the one that comes to him in Truth believing that He is the only way to the Father.

Jhn 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

2Cr 5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

This "if any man be in Christ" is the picture of the submerging of one's self into the life of Christ (Baptize) with the expressed reason to be changed into His image.

Folks there has to be a visible change in the life of the Believer from the old life into the new life that is in Christ Jesus.

Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all.

7-One God- the Godhead, trinity, God the Father, the first person in the trinity with the express truth that He is the one and only true God.

"and Father of all" of spiritual beings and of all men because He is their creator.

But He is called the Father of Christians, as those who through Christ have been exalted to a specially close and intimate relationship with God, and who no longer dread him as a stern judge of sinners, but revere him as their reconciled and loving Father.

He is called the Father of Jesus Christ, as one whom God has united to himself in the closest bond of love and intimacy, made acquainted with his purposes, appointed to explain and carry out among men the plan of salvation, and made to share also in his own divine nature.

8- who [is] above all-As the Creator of all He is above all that He has created. each, every, any, all, the whole, everyone, all things.

He is the enduring Father to all that has come to Him by faith in His Son Christ Jesus.

Thus we have the great privilege of Calling Him "Abba Father"

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Gal 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

9- and through all- ( because of for this reason )

HE IS!

10- and in you all-

"and IN" This gives us the Picture of Abba Father is in the Believer in a primary preposition denoting (fixed) position (in place, time and or state), Plainly put He is living inside each and every Believer in a fixed position that can not be changed.

This refers to the oneness that we have on the Triune God Head.

Will continue next.
Good morning Family.

Praise the Lord it is another cold ,cold day here in NH. I want to thank the Lord for this cold weather because it means that i will be able to use this years fishing license at least two more time amen. Yes icefisnhing time this weekend thank you Lord.

Folks let us come together with oneness of, Spirit, mind and heart to worship the Lord together this day. Let us love one another in the unity of love in the bond of the Holy Spirit. Come to gether and worship the Lord in this season of His birth so that all the world can see our joy,our hope, our purpose in life.

It is Him that we have eternal life and we are to be His representtive here on this earth tell all about the Good News of forgiveness that leads in to eternal life with the Father.
Joy to the World the Lord has come let heaven and earth sing of His Love. Come all you faithful and sing of His love for us. Do not withhold that which He has given unto us to share to the world.

This morning as i drove into work I begain to ask the Lord on how to close this study ( Walking worthy) out on the "Believer's walk" What is it that makes us worthy when there is no good thing in us -that is in our flash? So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear LOrd amen.

In this verse in Rom we see this.

Rom 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Their walk has gone wrong and they have be come unprofitable and unworthy in their walk and because of this they can not do any thing good in the sight of God the Father.

The questen that is before us today is just what is in the believer that causes him to walk worthy?

Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

We must revisit these verse and see.

1- walk with all lowliness.

2- walk in meekness

3- This walk with lowliness and in meekness must be with longsuffering.

4- This walk must be with forbearing one another in love.

NOw the answere to our question of How can we walk worthy is found in verse.

As we endever to walk together as a unity of the church it must be in love. The attributes of this type of love is recorded to us in 1 corth. 13.

1Cr 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become [as] sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

1Cr 13:2 And though I have [the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1Cr 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed [the poor], and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

1Cr 13:4 Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

1Cr 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

1Cr 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

1Cr 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

1Cr 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away.

This is the key truth to the act of a worthy walk.

So lets look at this truth in a deeper way this morning shall we.

"Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

We have learned that this word endeavouring
means that we are to do every thing that we possoble can. ( to hasten, make haste and not hang back and wait but to exert one's self and give diligence to the goal that is set before us. ( to walk worthy in our calling )

Now then when we have done every thing that we can we must learn to rest in the Lord and Let the HOly Spirit complete that which we can not do. This is that which He has been sent to do for us.

Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jhn 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Jhn 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew [it] unto you.

Phl 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Psa 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

"to keep the unity of the Holy Spirit"

Folks just as the Triune God Head has unity so are we to have the same unity.

Jhn 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are].

This is the picture of the believer that have learned to dwell to gether in unity Just as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one in unity with each other. We are to be like so in the unity of the bond of peace.

Psa 133:1 [[A Song of degrees of David.]] Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity!

In the bone of peace.
We have learned that this unity with the Holy Spirit will bond us together in peace with one another so that the fulness of the God head can dwell within the believer in power and stringth.

Folks the Holy Spirit can do in us that which we can not do our selfs. The key to this is a complete surrendering of our will unto His will.

As we learnd to so this (surrender our selfs to Him). We will begain to walk worthy of our calling.

To walk worhy of our calling is to reflect the Love of our Father in everythign that we do so that the world can see and understand His love.

Now this love must be in the bond of peace with one another in the house hold of God.

1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, [see that ye] love one another with a pure heart fervently:

There is a reason that this bond of Love must be toward the house hold of God first.

It is the new commandment from Christ Jesus himself that we love one another.

"SO THAT"

Jhn 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Jhn 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

So in Closing i say this Learn to love each other as He (Jesus) has love us so that we can walk worthy of our calling in our walk as a believer.

God bless and i love you all with the love of our Lord .
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Fri Dec 16, 2005 3:16 am

Good morning Family.

Again on a Friday we are face with a winter storm of a mixed bag of weather. Snow rain, sleet and icy roads. But praise the Lord who is in control of all these things i made it into work without mishap . I want to thank Him for His leading in my life. Thank you Father for your protection of me and for all your children in Christ Jesus. Amen

Folks lets pause for a moment this morning to give thanks unto the Lord for the great things that He has done for us.
remember the time before you gave your heart unto Him.? He brought us out of the darkness of our sin and brought us in to the light of His Son in forgiveness. All glory and honor belongs to Him who died for our sins.

This morning as i drove into word the next part of this study on The believer's walk was laid out before me as i thought about it. It is found in Eph 5:2.

"The believer's walk is in love"

This love is found in the love of Christ Jesus who died for us. It is a special love of the Father that has been extended through His Son Christ Jesus. Lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

We need to first look at verse 1 to get the true picture of what the Spirit is tells us here.

Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

He is first of all saying that if indeed we are believer's in Christ then we are to Therefore be followers of God.

Now as we look at this it is in the form of a commandment to us.

"be" this word is a transitionally word that means that we are to allow our selfs ( to become, be made, stronger meaning, is to allow our selfs to be transformed) This is the picture of the believer's self will that is surrendered unto the leading of the will Holy Spirit.
I am going to go back into Chapter for a moment in order to give insight into what He is saying in "Be therefore followers of God.

1- we are to walk worthy of our calling.

Eph 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2-we are to strive to come into the unity of the Saints.Body of Christ that is called the church.

Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

3-we are to speak in truth in in love in all things thereby we grow up in the Lord..

Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ:

4-we are to no longer walk as we once did in the darkness of our minds.

Eph 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

Eph 4:22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

5-we are to be renewed in the spirit of our mind.

Eph 4:23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

6-We are to put on ;the new man that is created after the righteousness of God which promotes true holiness.

Eph 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

7- We are to put off lying to one another ( Neighbor meaning the body of Christ) For we are members of one another. one body, one Spirit that is in all and through all. We are all members of the Family of God.

Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

8-We are to be angry and sin not.

Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath

9- we are to not give place to the devil l (let the devil have preference in our lives) we are no longer his bond slave. We have been set free from Him in Christ Jesus.

Eph 4:27 Neither give place to the devil.

10-we are to be kind one to another in the house hold of God forgiving one another with the same forgiveness that God has forgiven us for His Son's sake.

Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

So now aster having learned all of this He (the Holy Spirit says)

Be therefore followers of God

Eph 5:1 Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;

"therefore" meaning that all the things that is listed above that is found in Eph 4 ( accordingly, consequently, these things being so )

"follower" Simply means that we are to be ( an imitator)

"of God" ( the Godhead, trinity,God the Father, the first person in the trinity,Christ, the second person of the trinity,
Holy Spirit, the third person in the trinity.)

"as dear children"

'as" ( like, even as)

"Dear" This word is use here to show to us the love of the Father that He has for us. It is cried out by John in 1John 3:1 when he recorded to us this great truth. He says BE HOLD, WHAT MANNER OF LOVE OF LOVE THE FATHER HATH BESTOWED UPON US, THAT WE SHOULD BE CALLED THE SONS OF GOD.

1Jo 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

"children" We are His children by the belief in His Son Christ Jesus and it is inclusive. ( all who are led by the Spirit of God and thus closely related to God through belief in His Son Christ Jesus thereby we are called the Children of God.)

Will close for now but will begin to look at this "Walk in Love" that we have been instructed to do. that is found in Eph 5:2

Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

May the Lord bless and guide you in this day.
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Mon Dec 19, 2005 3:05 am

Good morning Family.

The Lord our God wants us to know that this morning that He loves us with a love that is forever. That there is forgiveness in His love for us. That there is grace in His love for us. That there is mercy in His love for us. That there is room at the cross in His love for us. That The riches of His kingdom is in His love for us. That His love for us is unconditional for us.

This morning as i drove into work this i begin to think about walking in love that is commanded by our Lord that we are to walk in. How it is of great importance to us that we come to terms in our own hearts about this great Love of the Father and His Son Christ Jesus. How that the term "to walk" is a way of life. It demonstrates the life ;that we are to live by. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now in the last post we learned that we must walk as dear children as we follow our Father God. Today in this post we will begin to look deeply into the "How" we are to walk in this Love.

Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

In verse 2 above the first thing that we notice is that we are to walk in Love, as Christ has loved us.

This Word "and" is a continuation of verse 1 where it tells us to be followers of God. "Be followers of God and do this"

"walk in love" As followers of God we are to Walk meaning that we are to do these things.

1-to make one's way in a certain way,

2- to make progress so show that it shows.

3-to make due use of opportunities that comes our way.

4- to regulate one's life This means that we are to predetermined to live our lives in this way.

5- As we walk in love we are to conduct one's self in the way that is set before us by commandment.

6- to pass one's life is to walk in the life that we have in Christ Jesus so that our time; is not waisted but is geared so that His love is reflected in every thing that we do.

This is a picture of who we as believers passing the time that He has given unto us here on earth. Making use of the time that He has given to us to reflect His love.

"in love"

"in" gives us this.(in, by, with)

1-"In" meaning that we are in Christ Jesus.

2-"by" meaning that it is by His love we are to walk.

3- "With" means that we are not alone in this walk of Love because He has sent us the Holy Spirit to teach us and to be our guide.

"love" (affection, good will, love, benevolence ) toward our brothers and sisters in the Lord.

I would like to say at this time that the word of God tells us that it is first most important that we love one another. (Meaning the Body of Christ) first and above all.

1Jo 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

1Jo 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1Jo 1:5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

Al these verses that has (Love one another) points to the body of Christ which makes up the Church. Our brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Theses verses makes it more on a personnel level that we love one another

Jhn 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

1- So that all men both the believers and the unbelievers will know that we are followers (disciples) of Christ Jesus

Rom 12:10 [Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

2-we are to be kind to one another in honor preferring one another meaning we are to prefer those who are a believer above one who is an unbeliever.

Gal 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only [use] not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

3- We have been call to serve one another in love.

Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

4-We are to forbear one another in love.

1Th 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all [men], even as we [do] toward you:

5- The Lord will make us to increase and abound in our love for one another and as we love our brothers and sisters this love will carry over unto all men Believers and unbelievers alike.

Hbr 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

6- We are to consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. This means that we are to held accountable to one another in love.

1Pe 3:8 Finally, [be ye] all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, [be] pitiful, [be] courteous:

7- We are to in love have the same mind in the Lord. have compassion for one another loving and courteous to one another in love.

We are His body we all make up the body of Christ. We are all different parts of His body would you not love your on body to take care of it and to treat it with loving care.

Mar 12:31 And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

This gives us the picture in this second commandment from God that we should love our neighbor as our self.

"neighbor meaning this ( according to Christ, any other man irrespective of nation or religion with whom we live or whom we chance to meet ) Folks i believe that this is referring to the fact that we belong to the body of Christ. we are all members of one another.

We all all "THE BODY" of Christ and as such we are to love our "neighbor " as we love our own selfs meaning the body of Christ that we are all family members of.

Jhn 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Jhn 13:35 By this shall all [men] know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Folks i have ran out of time once again will continue by looking into "how Christ loved us" next.

There is so much in this "the believers is to walk in love" that i do not want to miss out on what the Lord is telling us in His word. amen.
Good morning Family.
Great is He who sits on the throng room of our Hearts. It is His desire that we give place to Him in our hearts so that He can fill us to over flowing. His love is full of mercy and peace and forgiveness for us. He has extended his love to us in His Son Christ Jesus. Folks our Father wants us to know Him and His Love with a deep intimacy that will transform our ways.

This morning as i drove into work the love of Christ Jesus and want He did for us was so powerful in me as i dwelt on this study of the believer's walk in love. In how we are to walk in His love. The question that is before us today is How? Lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now yesterday we learned that this walk of love must first be with our brothers and sisters in the Lord so that this union of love will over flow unto the unbelievers of this world. This light of love that we share with each other in the body of Christ is like a beacon of light that will draw them unto Christ Jesus.
This light of love must be such with each other that the body of Christ will reflect His love into a lost and dieing world.

It is called "Walking in Love" Lets look at it as described in verse 2 of Eph 5 shall we.

Eph 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

We have seen how we must as dear children walk in His love. This picture of walking as children is with complete trust in the one that we follow as disciples.

We have learned that to walk in love as a way of life.

Now this walk must be as Christ has loved us.

"As Christ"

1- "as" according as, and just as, even as,and in the same proportion as He loves us.Indeed in the degree that that He loves us.

"Christ" ( Christ = " The anointed one of God" Who is the Messiah, the Son of God )

"also" This word is a reminder to us of the degree of His love for us. It tells us that as Christ has loved us we are to walk in this same love.

"Hath loved us" This word Hath is perpetual in eternity meaning he has always loved us from eternity past and in the eternal present and will love us into the eternal future.
He is the same,He never change.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

"loved us" This word Loved is (to be fond of, to love dearly) it is the expressed form of Love of the Father that is extended to all of mankind who will only believe in the works of His Son Christ Jesus.

Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

"us" This is the express picture of His Body that is called "the Church" The called out ones. It complies of all the ones who have believe in Him.

"and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour."

1- and hath given himself . This is the picture of Jesus desire ( to deliver himself to custody, to be judged, condemned,
punished, scourged, tormented, put to death in the place of another.) For the debt price to the Father for our sins is death. This was and is a debt that we could not pay in of our selfs because we are tainted by our sins.

"for us" ( in behalf of, for the sake of the fallen mankind.) You see His giving Himself is especially real to all those who have believed in Him. But is true to all and it includes all but only becomes real to those who believe in Him.

Ok now We see that He gave Himself for us in two ways here.

1- as an offering to God. This is an act of offering His sinless body as a gift that takes the place of another that could not pay.

2-"a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour."

" A sacrifice" literally means ( a victim)

"to God for a sweetsmelling savour"

With Sweetsmelling" means this ( a thing well pleasing to God)

"Savour" This indicates that God can smell and that He considered His Son's sacrifice to be sweetsmelling odor that He was well pleased with.

You See folks when we come to this point in our walk of love that we can give our selfs just as Christ gave Him self for us then we will also become a sweetsmelling odor that will please God.

You See Christ gave Himself for His body that was to come. His Church, His bride) In the same way we are called to give of ourself to the body that we are becoming. This Body is the Church the body of the Lord Jesus Christ. a glorious body that is alive and vibrant with out the sins that kept us from our Father God.

We are to walk in love for and with each other so that our body (The Church) that we are members of will grow strong in the love of Christ Jesus.

We are the Spiritual body of Christ That His love is reflected to the world. This Body ( The Church is the light house that shines forth His love to a lost and dieing world.

Our life must be a walk of Sacrificial love that expresses the Love of Christ Jesus.

Next we will look at the walk of the believer must be circumspectly.
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Wed Dec 21, 2005 3:13 am

Good morning Family.

Great is the Lord and it is He that has given unto us His life so that we may live and life that is good, a life that is alive one that is guided by His light. Our walk as a believer in Him must be patterned after our Lord Christ Jesus. We were the reason that He came to earth, we were the reason that He suffered and died. He came so that we had a reason to live.

FOLKS HE IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON THAT WE ARE CELEBRATING IN THE COMING DAYS. WE ARE THE REASON FOR GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION. HALLELUJAH YOU SEE WE ARE THE REASON FOR THIS PLAN.

This morning as i drove into work i begin to think about the next part of our study on the believer's walk. It involves that the believer to walk circumspectly. Now the question that we will look into today is just what does it means to the believer when we are commanded to walk a life that is circumspectly? Let ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us.Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

Again as we look a this verse we see a continuation of a subject that is laid out to us in the previous verse so we m must take a look before we get into verse 15. So lets look!

Eph 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

Verse 9 tells us that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is this.

Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit [is] in all goodness and righteousness and truth

1- it is all goodness

2- it is in all righteousness.

3- it is in all truth.

Verse 10 tells us that the fruit of the Holy Spirit that is in all ,goodness, righteousness and truth will prove to us what is acceptable to the Lord. With Lord meaning to whom we belong to. You See folks we belong to God because we believe upon His Son Christ Jesus. Our walk as a believer is such as to please our Father God.

Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

Verse 11 tells us. To have no fellowship with the unfruitful forks of darkness from which we have been brought out of. We are to reprove them . With Reprove meaning to expose them unto the Light of Christ Jesus that is in us.

Eph 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].

Verse 12 tells us. That it is shame for the believer to even to speak of those things that is done in the secret of the darkness that we once lived in.

Eph 5:12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

verse 13 tells us. That all the things that are reproved (exposed) will be manifested by the light that lives in us because it is the Light of Christ that manifests the things that are reproved by the believer.

Eph 5:13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Verse 14 tells us as a believer in Him we are to awake from the dead that we was once living and come out of the darkness and He (Chris Jesus ) will give us light to walk as a believer. This Light is full of truth, righteousness and is all goodness.

Eph 5:14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.

Ok now the topic that is up before us today is found in verse 15 and is "The Believer is to walk Circumspectly," Which i pray that we will learn what it means to us as a believer.

Eph 5:15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

It starts off with these words "SEE THEN " "see'" gives us the picture of the believer that has learn to discern mentally, observe, perceive, discover, understand and then to turn the thoughts or direct the mind to a thing, to consider, contemplate, to look at, to weigh carefully, examine the things that has been set before Him.

With the things- are all those things that we looked at in the above verses. 9-14. I am sure that there are more that is recorded for us to see then that which i have put done for us.

"then" ( means therefore, accordingly, if you see these things being so with so meaning truth.

"that" This word is a imperative command that means ( this is the way. That way. in the manner of )

"ye walk circumspectly" "Ye" (The believer)

"Walk" means

1-to make one's way,

2- to make due use of opportunities

3-to live

4- to regulate one's life

5- to conduct one's self

6- to pass one's life

"circumspectly" means

1-exactly,- in a precise manner

2- accurately,-with few mistakes; strictly correctly;

3- diligently- not carelessly; not negligently; With all that is in you.

"not as fools," (unwise in the things of God)

but as wise, ( forming the best plans that God has laid out fore believer's walk that is found in His word to us. and using the best means for their execution ) This obeying God is best done as we yield ourself to the Holy Spirit because it is He that God has sent to be our teacher and guide in the thing of God.

Folks we are to walk circumspectly in the knowledge of the things of God. We are to redeem the time that Has been alloted to us by God.

Eph 5:16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

We are to walk circumspectly by being instant in season and out of season

2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

We are to live our lives as if it was the last day on earth making good use of the truth that He has given unto us in His Word by being ready to give an answer of the Hope that is in you.

1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Will look next at "the Believer's walk is in the Light"
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Thu Dec 22, 2005 3:02 am

Good morning Family.
Let us come together this and speak of God's righteousness and of His praise all the day long. For He is great and greatly to be praised with the sound of our voices that comes from a deep relational love with The Father that supersedes every thing that we have ever experienced. Let your love for the Father flow freely from your hearts today.

This morning as i drove into work i begin to think about the next study on the Believer's walk that is called "walk in the Light".What it means to the Believer's walk with the Lord. so lets get started by asking the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

As i was driving in to work it was just at day break and the light of the sun was just begging to chase away the darkness of the night. As the sun rose above the horizon the world that was become seen in the Light.

What is Light?

1-We know that light gives life.

2- We know that with out it living things will die.

3-WE know that when used as a beacon it points to a perceive object.

4- We know that we use light to light up our pathway so that we can see where we are going. Try going out in to the deep woods on a dark night and try walking around and see how far you will get with out some kind of light.

5- We know that with out light in the darkness we experience some type of fear of the unknown.

6- we know that spiritually speaking that once we lived in the darkness of our sins and that the light of Christ showed us the way out of this darkness.

Ok now this is the "walk in the light" that we will look into today.

It is a Walk in the Spiritual light of God the Father that has been sent unto the world in His Son Christ Jesus. He has carried this message of light unto us and that we are to walk (is a form declaration) In His Light.

1Jo 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

"This then is the Message" (an announcement of extreme importance of a promise of blessing)

"which we heard from Him" You see it is not something that the believer has thought of himself. This message has come from without. It is a promise of a blessing that has come from God the Father and has been proclaimed by His Son Christ Jesus.

This message has been declared to us and we have been given the responsibility to also declare it to others.

What is this message?

IT IS!
1- "that God is Light"

"THAT" ( Since, because)

"God" ( God the Father, the first person in the trinity Who is the one and only true God. He is the Godhead of the Trinity which consists of God as the Godhead, first person of the Trinity with His Son Christ Jesus being the second person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit makes up the third person in the trinity )

"is Light" The word "is that is used here means ( which is, that is and is a defining statement of truth with "is" meaning that He IS THE I AM THAT HE HAS SAID THAT HE IS.

"is Light" You see folks God is light because light has these qualities about it., ,,

1-the extremely delicate

2-subtle

3- pure

4-brilliant quality of truth and its knowledge that together with the spiritual purity associated with it reveals God in His truest form. His light is exposed to the view of all, openly and publicly. Just as the sun rises in the morning and exposes the things that is hid in the darkness. God's light exposes the deep sins of the world that is hidden in the darkness. His Light brings them to view of all. This is why it says that man hates the light.

Jhn 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

"and in him is no darkness at all." This darkness is this ( the darkness due to want of light This darkness is reflected of the ignorance of divine things, and its associated wickedness,)

Folks i have to close this for now I just wanted to lay a foundation of What Light is to us and to the world.

Will continue with this subject of "Walking in The Light as a believer"

We will look at verse 6 and 7 to learn more .amen
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Mon Jan 02, 2006 2:59 am

Good morning Family.

Great is the Lord who has begotten us in the beloved. It is by the power of His love for us that will sustain us in this coming year that holds a great amount of unclarity for us. The world is becoming increasingly bad where they call good bad and bad good. They have completely turned away from the call of the Holy Spirit for repentance. They have rather to stay in the darkness then come out into the light because they love the darkness more then the Light.

This morning as i drove into work i was eager to get into work so that i could continue on with this part of the study on the believer's walk. Last year we let off at looking into the the Walk of the Believer is in the light. So to day i would like to continue with this study on the Light.

Lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

It is a Walk in the Spiritual light of God the Father that has been sent unto the world in His Son Christ Jesus. He has carried this message of light unto us and that we are to walk (is a form of declaration) In His Light.

1Jo 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

We have learned that Light is (Truth) that has revealed God to the world. That at one time we walk in the darkness of this world. We know that darkness is the lie of the evil one. It is sin that separates us from the Light (the truth). That by His grace and mercy He has brought us out of the darkness and into His Light. You see the Lord is light and there is no lie (darkness) in Him.

Psa 86:15 But thou, O Lord, [art] a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

Jhn 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Now when we become a believer in His Son Christ Jesus we are commanded to walk in the light as He is in the Light. And that This Light is the truth that comes from the Father.

We at one time walked as children of darkness but now we are to walk as children of light.

Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Ok now in verse 6 below we see that we are to have fellowship with Him.

1Jo 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

"If we say" Folks this is our confession and reflects the way that we live, which reflects the way that we believe.

"if" means that in case we are confessing that we have became a believer in Him.

"Say" This word "say that is use here has two meaning that we need to look at here.

1- is that if we confess with our mouth.

2- is that we can confess with our walk which means the way that we live our lives.

This allso means that we need to not only talk the walk but also walk the talk is the way that we speak and live. Our lives tells ail those around us to whom we belong.

1- Children of the light.
2- Or children of darkness.

There can be no in between in the believer's walk. we are either walking in the Light (truth) or we are still walking in the darkness ( lies).

Now this is the danger of making a false confession in the way that we live our lives.

If we say. (the way that we talk and the way the we live.)

"that we have fellowship with him,"

"that we have" is this.

1- to hold one's self or find one's self so and so, to be in such or such a condition,

2-to hold one's self to a thing, to lay hold of a thing, to adhere or cling to so that it will reflect the way that we talk and walk our lives ( to live our lives)

"fellowship with Him"

"Fellowship" is a way of life, it includes and is not limited to ( association, community, communion, joint participation)

Fellowship; is a total emulsion into the very life of the one that we are fellowshipping with. His thoughts, His desires will become ours and will be reflected in the way that we talk and live our lives.

It will be in our walk with Him the desire to become like Him in every way, to learn all that we can about Him.To please Him in all that we do and or think and with every thing that we speak.

"and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: "

"and walk in darkness"

"and walk"

1- to conduct one's self

2- to pass one's life

"in darkness" Means( of ignorance of the truth respecting divine things and human duties, and the accompanying ungodliness and immorality, )

"we lie, and do not the truth: "

"we lie" is to speak deliberate falsehoods so as to deceive one by a lie, This lie is accomplished in the way that we talk and the way that we walk.

"and do not the truth"

"and do not" has this about it.

1- we do not act right according to the truth to us. we will become disobedent to His word to us.

2-we can not even do well so that we can carry out and or even execute the commands that comes with the truth to us ( The Light).

" Do not the truth" This takes in all that is in the lie. It means that we do not even love the truth.( loving the truth, speaking the truth and being truthful in all that we do, the way that we live and walk in the light.)

Will continue .
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Tue Jan 03, 2006 2:45 am

Good morning Family.

The Lord is great and is greatly to be praised. For He is kind unto the broken hearted. He will lift up their heads. God has sent His Son into the world to be a light to all those who will only believe.

This morning as i drove into work i begin to think about this walking in the light and what it means to us as a new believer and also as a mature believer. We have learned that the light represents the Truth of God concerning His plan for redemption and that it is this light (Truth) that will guide us out of the darkness and lead us into the Light of His Truth to us.

1Sa 12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great [things] he hath done for you.

I would like to close this by looking at verse 7 today.Lets ask the Hoy Spirit to reveal God's truth to us. Let it be even as i ask dear Lord amen.

1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Verse 7 is the alternative of speaking the lie that is found in verse 6 where as one has said that we have fellowship with him but continue to walk in the darkness of our sin.

"But" (moreover, nevertheless , then.) It is telling us if we otherwise will cease in walking in the darkness then we will turn back into walking in the Light.

"if we walk in the light," This word "if" gives this to us. ( in case )

"we walk"

1- to regulate one's life

2-) to conduct one's self

3- to pass one's life

WALK HOW?

"in the light" This word "in describes three ways that we are to walk.

1- is to walk In the light.

2- is to walk WITH the light.

3- is to walk BY the light.

It can be described like this. If you are in a dark room that has no light but you have a flashlight with you how would you begin to see your way around the dark room.

It is that you have the light WITH YOU.

Then you walk by the light by turning it on.

Then you would have to stay in the light that shines forth the way that you need to walk.

Ok now how do we accomplish this?

"As He is in the Light"

"as" ( , like, even as)

"He" This word "He" that is used here describes the light Himself. It is very important that we learn all about this person who is Called the Light of the World.

Jhn 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Jhn 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

" He is in the Light" Ok now we have learned that the Light that was sent from God is the truth that is only found in Christ Jesus.

Eph 4:21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

Also this Light (truth) has been laid up in heaven for all that have put their hope in Him.

Col 1:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

WE have been commanded to walk in the light as He is in the Light. and that as such we are to walk as children of light.

Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now [are ye] light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Folks as we become more like Jesus we will shine forth His light up on all that we come in contact with. We then become the barriers of light as we are in the Lord.

We are to give thanks unto God for our inheritance in the Light. (truth)

Col 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

We as new believer's have become children of Light (truth). We have been called out of the darkness so that we can now Walk in the Light (Truth) This Truth (light) has set us free in Him.

Jhn 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Folks will close with this.

We have the living word in us (Christ Jesus). He is the light (the truth that was sent from God) to show us the way. We are to walk in Him so that our light which is in Christ Jesus will shine forth to all those around us so that they too can see the way of the truth.

SO LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE,LET IT SHINE FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE AMEN.

Will start looking at "we are to walk as Christ Jesus walked" next time.
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Good morning Family.
Blessed be the name of the Lord . Worthy, Worthy is the Lord, Holy, Holy is the Lord. It is in Him that we move and have our being. We owe him a debt that we could not pay. He is our substitute for the atonement for our sins that keeps us from the Father.

1Jo 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.
‘Propitiation” (the act of atoning for sin)

This morning as I drove into work i begin to think about the next part of our study on the “Believer’s walk which is called “We walk as Jesus Walked” So let ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s truth to us. Let it be even as I ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now as we look at this verse that is in 1 John-verse 6. We see that there is a statement of question that is asked here. Also the answer is in the verse also. So lets look at it.

1Jo 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
The question is this, “he that saith he abideth in Him?”

As we look at this we need first to establish whom “he is” (It is the Believer) that is referred to in verse 5.

1Jo 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

“That Saith” is both a verbal and an action that reflects the way that we talk with the way that we walk (the way that we live) that we walk in our new life in Christ Jesus.

“Saith” (to say, to speak, affirm, maintain) This Talk that we talk must reflect the way that we walk.

“He (the Believer) Saith- That He “abideth”
This word “abideth” means (to remain, abide, to live in reference to place. to sojourn, tarry and not to depart from such place.) The Place that the believer dwells in (abides, lives) is in Christ Jesus.

“In him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

“In Him” Now we need to learn that “In Him means that our dwelling place-is in Christ Jesus.

Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

We can do no good thing with out Him.

Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but [how] to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
“ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.”

Now this word “ought” Give us the picture that we owed a debt. A debt that we could never repay.

“Himself” (The Believer)

“Also so to Walk” in this manner,

Now we need to look at this word To Walk again so that we know just what it means for us to walk.

It has three components to it.

1- To regulate one's life

2- To conduct one's self

3- To pass one's life in such a way that it will reflect the way that we talk and the way that we live our lives in Christ Jesus.

“ Even as He walked”
This word “even” means (in spite of what our life circumstances are) We are to walk to the full extent of The walk that Jesus Walked while He was still here on earth.

The Believers walk is to walk as Jesus walked.

What a beautiful picture that is given unto us in the walk of Jesus that He walked here on earth.

Next we will start to look at How He walked. Amen.
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Thu Jan 05, 2006 2:48 am

Good morning Family!

The time has come for all true believers to stand up and walk as true believer's in the Lord. To lay aside all that comes between them and their walk. There is a new song that needs to be sung. It is the song from of all eternity. It is a song of revival in the hearts of all who confess to be believers in the Lord. It is a song of a Holy Ghost revival in this earth. A song of returning back to our first love. He is the King He is the Lord. Great and mighty is He. He is the Lord of Lords, The Kings of Kings. Hallelujahs praise His name. Revive us again, revive us again and fill us with the prescience of your Spirit once again Father God

This morning as i drove into word this verse that is found in Luke 2:49 came to mind to start This part of this study on “Walking like Jesus” Lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s truth to us. Let it be even as I ask dear Lord amen.

I would like for us to look at the Walk of Christ Jesus to gain a picture of the nature of the Walk.

Luk 2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.

Luk 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
Now in these two verses we see the Child Jesus when He was twelve years old. Now at this time in His life He started out to confess His walk here on this earth.

WE see Him saying that His walk is “To be about His Father’s business”
In relation to this revelation His walk begin with going about doing His Father Business.

“I must be about my Father’s business”

“I must” Gives this to us.
1- necessity established by the counsel and decree of God,
especially by that purpose of his which relates to the
salvation of men by the intervention of Christ and which is
disclosed in the Old Testament prophecies

2- concerning what Christ was destined finally to undergo, his
sufferings, death, resurrection, ascension

This is a heart desire that was in Jesus and is in all believers that has surrendered their will unto the Lord. It conveys the importance of obeying that which He came to do and for the believer what we are sent out into the world to do..

“My Father’s Is pointing and revealing that God is the Father of Christ Jesus. As such He (God) is the Father of all that Believe in His Son.

Rom 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who [is] above all, and through all, and in you all

“Business” (one who stands in a father's place and looks after another
in a paternal way. You see folks Jesus was sent from God to reprensent His plan for mankind. In this plan is the way of salvation.

Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

So the walk of the Believer in this is to be about our Father’s business. As Jesus walk about doing the Father’s business so must we be about the Father’s business also.

This is a picture of Jesus when He first started His walk in public. It was by speaking froth that which He was sent to do and then going forth and accomplishing it.

The question that is before us today is.

ARE WE ABOUT THE FATHER'S BUINESS IN OUR WALK?
Next we will look at another picture of the walk of Jesus to find out what His walk consists of.
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Mon Jan 09, 2006 3:30 am

Good morning Family!!!!

The Lord is worthy to be praised. Great and might in battle is He. It is He that will fight our battles for us if only we will stand by and let Him. So give Him all the glory and honor and praises for it is in Him that we have victory over our enemy. Holy,Holy,Holy is the Lord God almighty. Lift up your hands oh people of the most High God and worship in the beauty of Holiness.

This morning as I drove into work my mind was flowing over this walking as Jesus walked. How it affects us. How we are to walk in Him and walk as He walked. When we walk as He walked we will be obeying Him and bring glory unto Him. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s truth to us. Let it be even as I ask dear Lord amen.

Now last time we learned that we ought to walk as He walked if we have confessed Him as Lord and Savior. We looked at 1john 2:6 and learned that we are to walk as He walked.

1Jo 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

We also learned that to walk is the way that we live our lives and that that true meaning of to walk has this about it.

It has three components to it.

1- to regulate one's life

2- to conduct one's self

3- to pass one's life in such a way that it will reflect the way that we talk and the way that we live our lives in Christ Jesus.

Folks it does not mean that we are to puff our self up and begin to think that we are just the same as Christ Jesus in His divinity. He is the second person of the Godhead triune and there is no way that we can even begin to think that we are as He is in the Triune Godhead.

What we need to do and what the word of God tells us that we should do is to live our lives as Christ Jesus lived His life when He was here on this earth.

Yes we can walk as He walked other wise the word would not of told us to. We are to use Him (Christ Jesus) as our example in our earthly walk.

There is another thing that we need to learn and that is in of our own self we cannot even begin to walk as He walked. That is the reason that Jesus said that is expedient that He go back to the Father so that they can send the Holy Spirit to help us in our daily walk.

Now we look at Luk 2:42 and 49 and learned that Jesus at the age of 12 let it be known that His walk was to do the will of His Father.

Luk 2:42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.

Luk 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

Now we will look at Him when He started His ministry at the age of around 30 years. When He turned the water into wine at the wedding. From there he started choosing His disciples.

We can relate this to the time that we first became a believer. This will be the start of our ministry. As we grow and become mature believes.

Jesus’s walk here on earth was one of love and compassion for the people around Him.

With compassion that was born out of love for the people that He came to minister to.

In His compassion He heal the sick and feed the hungry and gave leadership unto the lost in other words He pointed then to the true way of salvation.

Mat 9:36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

In His compassion He healed the sick

Mat 14:14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

In His compassion He feed the hungry.

Mat 15:32 Then Jesus called his disciples [unto him], and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

In His compassion He open the eyes of the blind so that they could see Him as He really was. The Savior of man kind.

Mat 20:34 So Jesus had compassion [on them], and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

He made disciples of all that believed up on Him.
Is this not what we are commanded to do. In Math 28:19-20.

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Are we not to walk as He walked? He said that great things are we to do because He goes back to the Father.

Jhn 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

Works are the fruit that the Holy Spirit manifests in our life (our walk).
So folks I say that Yes, yes we are to walk as He (Christ Jesus walked). Against this fruit there is no law.

WE are to look at the picture of how Jesus walked while He was on this earth and pattern our lives after Him in all the things that He did.

How you might say can we do this?

Phl 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

We are not to think ourselves above our master who is (Christ Jesus) but we are to be as He is.

Mat 10:24 The disciple is not above [his] master, nor the servant above his lord.

Luk 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

Will close this but there is so much we are too learn and can learn about walking like Christ Jesus.

Next study will be “The Believer’s walk is Before God”
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Good morning Family!!!!
Come into the Lord presence this morning and bow down before Him in worship. Enter his courts with praise and uplifted hands for He is worthy to be praised for the great things that He has done for us. Great and mighty is He for He is the King of Kings the Lord of Lord. He is the great I am. For we are His children and He cares for us in a great and mighty way. Let Him attend to our request of becoming more and more like Him in every way.

This morning as I drove into work I begin to ask myself what does it means to walk. Before God? When the Word tells us that we shall and must walk before Him What does it means.
So I looked up this verse Psa. 119:9- and found it to read, “I will walk before the Lord (God) in the land of the living. Lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s truth to us. Let it be even as i have ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now we need to learn before we get started on this study on walking before God that we are always before Him and that there is no place in heaven and or earth that we can hide from Him as stated in Jer.23:24.

Jer 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

God is in all His creation so that non-cannot be seen of Him. This we must learn so that we do not think that He will not see all the things that we do in our walk here up on the earth. He sees from heaven and knows our ways.

Even the unbeliever walk before Him in the darkness of their sin.

The believer has been delivered from death. Our promise too God is that we will walk before Him in the land of the living.

Psa 116:8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, [and] my feet from falling.

Psa 116:9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

Now lets look at this saying “in the land of the living. It has a profound truth to us as a believer.

“land” meaning (land, earth and all the people of all the nations on this earth.)

“Of the Living” This gives us the picture of the one who has been given eternal life when he becomes a believer. (Live, have life, remain alive, sustain life, live prosperously,
live for ever, be quickened, be alive, be restored to life.).

Christ has given to us eternal life and thus we have are counted among the ones that have spiritual life in them.

Jhn 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Jhn 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand.

Folks all our ways are walked before our Father God who sees from heaven. We must submit our selves to Him in our walk before Him.
He has not left us all alone in our walk for He has sent us His Holy Spirit to help us in this walk.

I have ran out of time will finish this up tomorrow.
God bless you all
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Good morning Family!!!!
Lets us prepare our selves for the coming of the Lord to take us home for a new day is coming up on the earth. I will be a day of terror and dread for those that has been left behind. Are you ready? Are you looking for His return? Do not be caught like the thief in the dark when he brakes into your home. Have the lamp of your life filled with the oil that keeps it burning. (The Holy Spirit) is the oil that lights up your life and it is He that will keep you prepared for the coming day of the Lord. Do not neglect to His filling of your life each and every day. .

This morning as I drove into work this walking before God in the land of the living weight heavy up on my heart with the wonderment of what it means to us as a believer in Christ Jesus. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal god’s truth to us. Let it be even as I ask dear lord amen.

Ok now yesterday we looked at Psalm 116:8-9 and learned that there is a confession and a promise that is before this statement of “I will walk before the Lord (God) in the land of the living”.

Psa 116:8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, [and] my feet from falling.

Psa 116:9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living

The promise is from God.

1-Has delivered my soul from death.

“Delivered" means to be (to rescue, deliver, set free)

“Soul” means (that which breathes, the breathing substance or being, soul, the
inner being of man) this is the picture of the person who has been born again and His soul has been given a new life. A new start in life as it were. This new birth begins the moment that you believe in Christ Jesus as your savior. This is the start of a new way of walking (the way that you live your life) this new walk will be forever in the sight of God.

“From death” means that once we lived in the land of death that is the kingdom of darkness. “Death” is a place (a land that we once lived in because of our sin of rejecting God.
This word “from” means that once we believed we were taken out of the land of death and place in the land of the living (The Kingdom of God). We were rescued as it were.

2- Has delivered my eyes from tears.
“Eyes” here means the (soul of man the part that has mental and spiritual faculties). This is where the real person lives. The part of man that will recognize God, I would like to say that the soul of man will either recognize God or will reject God.

The person, whose soul recognizes God, Will believe in His Son Christ Jesus and except Him in his life.

Once this new birth is complete then there is a joy that floods the soul of the person who becomes a new believer and their tear of sadness will be no more for they will have hope in Christ Jesus.

3-Has delivered my feet from falling.

“My feet” “feet gives us the picture of the (journey) that this new life will embark on).

“From falling.” means that this journey will not fail because God Him self will lift us up when we fall.

Jam 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

So then we see the “confession” of the believer that is recorded in verse 9.

Psa 116:9 I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

Praise the Lord folks I have more to say about this so will continue next time. Amen
Good morning Family!!!!
Oh children of God area you looking? Looking for the return of our Lord and Savior. He is soon to return for all the ones that He died for. There is a change in the spiritual realm of heaven for the anticipation of the Father sending His Son to receive His bride. Oh what joy there will be when we see Him face to face? To know that our time here on earth has finely reached the end of our time. Folks the Church age are quickly coming to its conclusion. Rejoice, rejoice Children of God. Sing for joy ,shout with our voices for He is coming quickly.

This morning as I drove into work the Lord brought this verse to me about Walking before God in the land of the living. So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s truth to us. Let it be even as I ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now yesterday we looked at Pas 119:8 and 9. In them we learned that there was a promise from God and then our confession to that promise. Today lets look at Gen. 17:1.
In it we will see that God has commanded us to walk before Him.

Gen 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I [am] the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.

First God reveals Himself to us in by saying that He is the Almighty God.

Lets look at His statement.

“I am the Almighty God”

“Almighty” is this (Shaddai, the Almighty the most powerful one.)

“God” He declares this about Himself (That He is the one only true God, Jehovah). I am the God of all creation.

There are two parts of His command to us in this verse as we look at it.

1-God commands us to walk before Him.

“To walk” Is the manner of life that we live here on earth. It includes our conversation, our thoughts and the way that we present ourselves to those around us.

1Pe 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

Luk 21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute [you], delivering [you] up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

Luk 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

2-God commands us to be thou perfect.

This command is not an option to us.

“Be thou perfect” (to deal in integrity, act uprightly accordingly) the extinction of this is found in the New Testament. Where God say to be Holy Because He is Holy.

1Pe 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

This perfection can only be achieved as we submit our self to the Holy Spirit. This is His job to sanctify us.

Jhn 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

2Th 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

1Pe 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

We are as Believers to walk before God.

I have some more to say about this will continue.
Good morning Family!!!!
Worthy is He that sits up on the throng of our hearts. He longs to have His way in our lives to show His love for us and to guide us in the way of the Truth. All truth is in Him and He reveals this truth to all that will seek Him with purity of heart. So lay bare your hearts to Him so that He can fill it with Him self. Do not reject the calling of the Lord in your lives for in it you will find the victory that you seek-the peace that you seek- the joy that you seek and the love and acceptance that you seek.

Oh Church of the live God rise up and take your place among the land of the living and fulfill that which you were called to do.

This morning as I drove into work this last verse that we will look at in “the Believer’s walk is Before God was on my mind it is found in Eph.2:20. Lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s truth to us. Let it be even as I ask dear Lord amen.

My Question today is “how do we walk before God?”

Eph 2:10 for we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

As we look at this verse we see that the revealing of God’s truth that we are His workmanship.

Workmanship gives a picture of someone that takes a subject (That He has created) that has lost its value and begins to shape and mold it into a valuable object that can be used to satisfy the creator. He lovingly sees the value that is lying dormant in it’s being. So He begins to rework His creation and in His workmanship He starts to bring good out of His creation. (A New creation)

“For we are His workmanship” there lies in this statement all the love of the Father For His Children.

1Jo 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

“Workmanship” Means (to be the authors of a thing (to cause, bring about) to recreate that which has lost it’s value to it’s creator. ) It showcases the works of God as creator)

“WE” Reveals who it is in His Workmanship. (It is the Believer)

“Created in Christ Jesus unto good works”

God starts this recreation in us through His Son Christ Jesus. He works in us through His Son so that we can do good works.

“Good Works” (the thing which is good and is useful)

“Works” This word is very important to us that we understand its implication

(It is anything that which one undertakes to do, enterprise, Any undertaking). Provided that the works always bring glory and honor to God. This is the importance of the work being good it has to point to the glory of God. Anything less will be unacceptable to Him.

“BECAUSE” these are the works.

, Which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

“Which God hath Before ordained” This gives us the picture of God before the creation of all things making ready His plan of redemption of mankind who will except His son as Lord and Savior.

(to prepare before, to make ready beforehand)

“That we should walk in them”

This plan was ordain in Christ Jesus and God put it into action at the right time in the history of mankind according to His plan.

What was in this Plan?

That we (the Believers should walk (Live our live according to His plan)

Our good works must do two things

1-We must let them shine before man so that they may be seen.

2-So that the Good works will glorify the Father in heaven

Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

So to answer my Question today “how do we walk before God?”

It is so let your walk before God be as good works so that they may Glorify Him..

I will close with this from Psalms.

Read and know that we are for ever in His sight in our walk. We are forever walking before Him. Please read these verses and let the Spirit of God deal with you in your walk
Before Him that it is never out of His sight.
Good morning Family!!!!
Praise the Lord all you servants of the Lord. Come into His courts and lets us serve the Living God to whom we owe a debt that we could not pay. We are to serve Him with joy and happiness. For it is He that has set us free from our sin.

This morning as i drove into work i was thinking on how to close this series on “The Believer’s walk. I know that in the start i said that we was to look at just ten aspects of this walk but I would be remised if I did not post something else that i discovered as i studied for this series. I will call it “the Believer’s walk must be as a Servant.’ So lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s truth to us. Let it be even as I ask dear Lord amen.

Ok now as I was studying about the Believers walk i discovered this about this walk that we have embarked on as a believer Christ.

In all the rudiments and essentials of this walk it must be with a servant heart.

We will begin by looking at John 12:26 first where Jesus said if any man serve me.

Jhn 12:26 If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour.

“If any man serve me”

This word “if means (in case and or whether a person has decided to)

“Serve me” (to attend to anything, that may serve another's interests in this case- to serve Christ Jesus) this service takes in all that Christ Jesus has instructed to the Believer in His Word. (The Word of God). This is why it is so important that we learn all that we can about Him. A good servant will have the ability to anticipate his master’s commands. This is accomplished by getting to know Him intimately and absolutely.

As we get to know Him in this way (intimately and absolutely) we then can follow Him, as He so desires.

“Let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be:”

“Let him follow me” This means that as we learn to serve Him we then become His follower which means (to join one as a disciple, become or be his disciple) as one who sits at the feet of his teacher to learn to walk in His foot steps.

“And where I am” (wheresoever) to happen to be present.
“There shall also my servant be”

There, in that place shall be even indeed my own servant (one who executes the commands of another, esp. of a master, (Jesus Christ) as my servant and attendant that ministers my commands)

“If any man serve me, him will [my] Father honour.)

“If man” denotes a believer in Christ Jesus” Who serves me. This is the believer who obeys the commands of Christ Jesus.
This believer will My Father (the Father of Jesus Christ, as one whom God has united to himself in the closest bond of love and intimacy, made acquainted with his purposes, appointed to explain and carry out among men the plan of salvation, and made to share also in his own divine nature.

“Honour” (held in honour, esteemed, especially dear) this honour will be the recipients of the inherence of The Kingdom of God. He (God) will honor The Believer as His sons and daughters.

Ok now will have to close this for now. I have run out of time.

Will continue.
Good morning Family!!!!
The Lord God is the Lord of all things, the God of heaven and the God of earth, the God of all our circumstances. He is our Father who loves us with a special love that calls us His sons and daughters. When we first believed in His Son He adopted us into His family. We started a new life and a new way of walking. Our agenda in life was changed to line up with His. He replaced our heart of stone that was death to the things of God with a heart of flash that is sensitive to His will for us a heart that could be molded by His Spirit.

This morning as I drove into work I ask the Lord what it really meant for us as believers in His Son to walk with a servant’s heart. He led me to the 6 chapter of Romans. Lets ask the Holy Spirit to reveal god truth to us. Let it be even as I as dear Lord amen.

First I would like to repost what it means to walk as a believer.

To walk means.

1-to make one's way in a certain way,

2- to make progress as so that it shows.

3-to make due use of opportunities that comes our way.

4- to regulate one's life this means that we are to predetermine to live our lives in this way.

5- As we walk in love we are to conduct one's self in the way that is set before us by commandment.

6- to pass one's life is to walk in the life that we have in Christ Jesus so that our time; is not wasted but is geared so that His love is reflected in every thing that we do.

This is a picture of which we as believers passing the time that He has given unto us here on earth. Making use of the time that He has given to us to reflect His love.

“TO WALK AS A BELIEVER”

Now the first verses I want to repost is these.

Rom 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Rom 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

As we look at these verses they paint the picture of where we was once was. That is under the dominion of sin. We were the servants of sin to obey its lusts. You see we was dead in our sins and there was no way out of the servitude that we was under.

But we have been set free from this old life style in Christ Jesus and we are free to serve Him as a loving servant.

Now that we have been free from being the servants of sin we are to reckon ourselves to be dead to our old way of life where we served sin.

6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

This word “reckon” means that we are to consider, take into account, weigh, meditate on in our hearts and begin to walk in our new life that is dead to sin and alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You see under the Law we was the servants of sin but now that we are under God’s grace we serve righteousness that is in Christ Jesus.

Rom 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Now here is what the Lord wants us to understand about our “walk as servants unto Him”

Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

“know ye Not?” This question is as so that we will (learn to perceive with the eyes, to perceive by any of the senses so that we are able to perceive, notice, discern, discover the truth in our hearts that God has for us in this matter of being a servant. You see this truth is a matter of the heart of the Believer.

This opens up; the truth to whom do you think about the most? The one that you dwell on the most will be the one that controls your way of life and yield your selves to serve as servants. Will to dwell on the things of God so as to serve Him or will it be that we will continue to dwell on our old way of life so going back to serving our sinful lusts.

“that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey”

“Yield” Means to stand by in order to present oneself for service.

“Servants to obey” This gives us a picture of the believer as one who gives himself up to another's service to carry out the commands of the one that we present ourselves to. Will it be the service for Christ Jesus to advance His cause among men or will it be service of the evil one to advance his one cause among men?

I have run out of time again so will continue next on this.
Re: "The way we Walk as Believers"

Postby lockleyj on Thu Jan 19, 2006 3:18 am

Good morning Family!!!!
Blessed be the name of the Lord. He is Holy and Righteous in all His ways. He is the Lord- He is the King. He is the one that redeemed us and not our selves. Come and bless Him in His Holy Place.

This morning as I drove into work I was egger to close out this study on the believer’s walk. The last part of this study is on Servitude. As the Walk of the Believer must be as a servant of the Lord in all their ways. We are looking in the 6th Chapter of Romans-That deals with being a servant. Lets look at the rest and come to a good conclusion about the truth of being a servant and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s truth to us. Let it be even as I ask dear Lord amen.

First I would like to repost what it means to walk as a believer.

The walk of a believer servant is

1-to make one's way in a certain way,

2- to make progress as so that it shows.

3-to make due use of opportunities that comes our way.

4- to regulate one's life this means that we are to predetermine to live our lives in this way.

5- as we walk in love we are to conduct one's self in the way that is set before us by commandment.

6- to pass one's life is to walk in the life that we have in Christ Jesus so that our time; is not wasted but is geared so that His love is reflected in every thing that we do.

This is a picture of which we as believers passing the time that He have given unto us here on earth. Making use of the time that He has given to us to reflect His love with a servant’s Heart.

“TO WALK AS A BELIEVER”

The Life of a servant is obedience unto which He has pledged his life too.
Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

Now the question that is before us in our Walk as a Believer is this.

Are you still yielding yourselves to obey sin, which is unto death, or will you yield yourself as servants unto obedience that leads to righteousness? This question is always before the Believer in His walk before the Lord.

As we look at verses 17 and 18 we will see that our obedience must be from the heart. For this is where our deliverance begins. This is the doctrine of salvation that is in Christ Jesus. To whom we have pledged to obey as servants.

This also we must learn that this word “being” that is used in verse 18 means that this deliverance is an on going operation of the Holy Spirit that has the job of sanctification of the believer. Once we have fully learned that we are being made free of sin as stated we then can learn to become the servants of righteousness.

“The servants of righteousness” is this to the believer.

1-The service of the believer is one who gives himself up to another's will (Christ Jesus) then this service is used by Christ in extending and advancing his cause among men.

2-To bind too and put ones self under obligation of the one who has set us free from the servant of sin. (Christ Jesus)

3- To give yourself wholly to one's needs and service, make yourself a bondman to him. (Christ Jesus)

Rom 6:17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

This concludes this study on the Walk of the believer. It is my prayer that all that has read this study will come under the conviction of the Holy Spirit. This study applies to the new believer that has just started on their walk and also to the mature belivere that is returning back to his first love.

I would like to close with these verses from Roman.

Rom 6:22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

May God bless each and every one.

Will start a study next on what I will call the 8 fold ministries of Christ that he came to earth to do.
