In really difficult times, you stop worrying about the small things. For example, instead of what you will eat, you begin wondering if you will eat. Instead of how you will spend the day, you begin wondering if you will survive the day. Lately, I've been preparing my speaking presentation. What I'm seeing is sobering. If the events that we've been following are in fact the fulfillments of the biblical prophecies, then it's only a matter of time until we enter into difficult times. And if that happens, believe me, we're not going to be fighting over the small stuff. When that time comes, how will we know God's true people? According to Jesus, one way we will know them is by their love for another (John 13:24-35). In fact, even when it comes time to judge the nations, Jesus will judge them according to how they treated His people (Matt. 25: 31-46). Friends, by now I should have hit the dead-end that awaits those who attempt to fit the events in their time into prophecy. Instead, event after event continued until, today, the entire end-time scenario may be before us. And those who like to argue usually promote a different teaching on some element of prophecy, or they don't know the facts. There are some, however, that disagree, yet do so in love. They understand that, if I've been wrong about these events, it will soon be obvious. It's only a question of time. (Side note: I'm waiting for the results of the ongoing Arab summit. I'll be commenting on this amazing event soon.) 03-28-2007
