This is a difficult commentary for me. The reason is, each time I make an attempt at this subject matter, I receive email from people who misunderstood what I meant. And for a writer, that means you're not doing a good job. However, this is something I feel the Lord wants me to say. Like I said yesterday, you don't have to be a born-again, Bible believing Christian to know our world stands on the brink of something evil. You can feel it in the air. However, according to Time Magazine, Americans are deeply divided over what or who is to blame for that evil feeling in the air. According to Time, nearly half America blames the Democrats and the asleep-at-the-wheel foreign policies of the prior Clinton Administration. And, the other half blame the Republicans and the uncompromising, unilateralist policies of the current Bush Administration. Even America's mostly evangelical Christian religious right -- Bush's power base -- have developed mixed feelings about him. Some love him for openly declaring his faith in Jesus, while others distrust his Christian sincerity because of certain recent actions, such as Bush's support for a Palestinian state and forcing the Road Map on Israel (Read about it here). However, whether his Christianity is sincere or not, most would agree on one thing -- Bush's public confession of Jesus made him a symbol of Christian influence in America. Now in the eye's of the world, Bush and his administration has come to represent us born-again, Bible believing Christians. This brings us to the subject of today's commentary and why I find difficult to write. For one thing, what I'm trying to say must be spiritually understood. In other words, it's for only us to understand and not unbelievers. And for another reason, I try hard to avoid the political issues that can so easily divide us. The Apostle Paul tells us to lift up holy hands without wrath or dissension (1 Timothy 2:8). This is because there is more power in our united Christian prayer than our political opinions or actions. However, in this coming election I can't remain silent and keep a clear conscience. You see, I believe our world actually is on the brink of something evil. I believe we may be now standing on very threshold of the Antichrist's global kingdom. And, I fear this coming November American voters may be deceived into opening the door. Here's why: The Bible tells us, in these end-times, there will be a revival of the old Roman Empire under the direction of a 10 king alliance and one man. Why is this bad? The Bible tells us this revived Roman Empire will become the kingdom of the mother-of-all tyrants -- the Antichrist. This person will gain power by making treaties he will not keep. And once he has gained the strength, he'll wickedly persecute Christians, Jews and anybody else who he sees as standing in his way. And, as I've been reporting on FulfilledProphecy.Com, events have occurred that indicate this may be now happening in the expanding European Union. If you don't believe me, spend a little time on my site. Better yet, buy my book where everything I'm saying is well documented. In fact, Bush just returned from Britain after what I believe was a desperate attempt by both him and his Secretary of State Collin Powell to save American vital interests in NATO. But, it doesn't look like things went well. According to the UK's Telegraph, even after Bush and Powell's desperate visit, British Prime Minister Tony Blair is still under pressure from France and Germany to cut America out of the EU's 10-nation branch of NATO (Read about it here). Back to my concern about this coming American election: In order to be elected, it's required the candidate hopefuls take opposing positions from the those held by the incumbent President. And, I'm afraid this time an opposing position to what the Bush Administration has been trying so hard to stop in Europe may open the door to the most dangerous enemy America has ever faced. I'm not talking about the international terrorists -- I'm talking about the international gang and the EU's new lust for empire under the direction of their first High Representative, Javier Solana (Solana's Imperialist). No, I'm not saying the Democratic candidates are knowingly wanting to harm America. What I'm suggesting is they may want to get elected a little too much to be able to see clearly that what they're doing may bring disaster to their nation. Take Democratic candidate Wesly Clark for example: Clark once was one of the greatest advocates of the Bush Administration's bold, America-first foreign and security policies. Now he's on the road apparently trying to overthrow those same policies, which if successful, will bring American citizens under foreign laws (Read about it here). Is it because Clark has changed his mind, or is it because he wants to get elected? I think Clark wants to get elected. And I think he may want it a little too much. There are, of course, people who truly believe it would be good if all the citizens of the world would yield to the international gang's laws and courts. I believe one such individual could be billionaire George Soros. Soros happens to be a major benefactor of many internationalist activities throughout Europe and the world. In fact, it appears Soros may believe in establishing Solana's new international order under EU control so much he is dedicating whatever it takes to see that Bush looses this coming election. This brings us to an important question: As our world stands on the brink of this great evil -- evil we can feel in the air, how is it people with good intentions can see the man George Bush -- a man who has come to symbolizes us Christians -- so differently? Some see Bush as a savior and man of great moral principle. Others see Bush as the most dangerous man to have ever walked on earth. So, what gives? Now here comes the spiritual part. In light of the prophecies and recent events in Europe, I'll tell you what I think. It's God's decision time for America. It's like the evil spiritual forces of the world are saying to America today what they said to Israel so long ago: Behold, the man. And I wonder: Will America say, Give us Barabbas? 11-24-03
