I've mentioned him before. His name is Jim. And, once in awhile Jim will send me his observations about the EU's High Representative Javier Solana. This last one so intrigued me that I asked if I could quote him. When Jim said I could, I couldn't find a good place to stop the quote. So, here's the whole enchilada.

The Biggest Overlook?

Of all the facts we know about the ever-rising Javier Solana, there may be one glaring fact which we have overlooked.  Solana's rise to power differs from that of almost all (if not all) leaders in history.  Daniel reveals that the AC will "through peace destroy many."  This verse gives us the understanding that the AC will heavily involve himself with making peace treaties and accords. Question: How many world leaders have ever risen through the ranks of  power using the ability to make and bring peace?  Most of them, if not all,  came to rulership through the use of cruel, brute force.  Name one world leader in ALL of world history who has risen to Solana's height (not to mention future height, EU FM) through peace.  Give up? Me too. Although, Daniel records one man who eventually will. We now see one man who incredibly has. These two figures also share many other traits and there may be a good reason why. After all, Daniel only mentions one figure. And according to Daniel, his "rise" only happens once!

Jim does bring up some very good points. I don't know any other world leader who has risen to power the way Solana has by shuttling around the world making peace.   

Does this mean I think Solana is the coming leader foretold in Daniel?
