It's a mistake to make Israel too mad. And, I think Syria may have made that mistake.

What caught my attention was a new Security Council resolution calling for Syria to get out of Lebanon Read about it here. Question: Why would the international community suddenly decide to help Israel get Syria out of Lebanon? I would say this was a little out of character.

Perhaps, this next report provides a clue. Evidently, Israel believes the orders for the recent bombings in Israel that killed about 20 and injured over a hundred were issued by a Hamas leader who has his head quarters in Damascus Read about it here. And, Syria isn't doing anything to stop this terrorist activity.

Not only is Syria hosting terrorist organizations in Damascus, for a long time now Syria has been also supporting Hezbollah activity directed against Israel's northern border from Lebanon. So, Israel wants Syrian sponsored Hezbollahout of Lebanon, and Syrian sponsored Hamas out of Damascus. 

This is what I think: Israel may have had enough. Either the international community must do something about Syrian sponsored terror, or Israel will.

And, Bible prophecy tells us there may be reason for concern. There is a prophecy in the Old Testament about the final destruction of Damascus. The great Jewish prophet, and esteemed political advisor, Isaiah wrote:

 The oracle concerning Damascus. "Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city and will become a fallen ruin" (Isaiah 17:1 New American Standard Bible).

Friends, this hasn't happened ... yet.

So, is it bye bye Damascus?
