Here are four news reports I think may be related. The first is about what the EU's High Representative, Javier Solana, had to say about the Bush administration's decision to seek a Security Council resolution for international help in Iraq. According to this report, Solana said, "We're still a long way from achieving consensus both among ourselves and with other members of the Security Council" (Read about it here). The second report is about a sudden summit being called between Germany, France and Britain (Read about it here). Evidently, the purpose of this summit is to see if Solana's consensus can be achieved before the Security Council vote. The third report is about an interesting opinion voiced by the recently assassinated Swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh. In this report Lindh not only says she doesn't trust the current Italian EU presidency under Silvio Berlusconi, she thinks before making the final decisions about the shape of the new, super EU, the EU heads should wait for January 2004 when the incoming presidency of Ireland begins (Read about it here). Now for the fourth report. For some strange reason the Dutch government -- the government who will take over the EU presidency for the last half of 2004 after Ireland -- has already announced its agenda. The Dutch presidency plans to strengthen the EU's ties with the United States (Read about it here). At the beginning I said I thought these reports may all be related. Now, to understand why I think this, we need to let Bible prophecy help us connect the dots. Like I've been saying in my book and my commentaries, I suspect we may be witnessing in Europe the fulfillment of the prophecies about the rise of the 10-horned beast from the sea. And, if we are, certain things would be expected to happen -- such as the rise of an independent military command structure within the EU. And, that's what I suspect may be behind all four of these news reports -- the rise of a separate EU military command. You see, Javier Solana was hired back in 1999 by the EU heads to create for them an independent military wing out of the 10-nation alliance known as the Western European Union. Now there appears to be a power struggle occurring among these 10 nations for control. Some of these 10 nations are pro-America like Britain, and others are anti-America like Germany and France. In other words, the battle is over America and for control of NATO. Evidently, I'm not the only one who is seeing what's going on in the EU. Swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh must have seen it too. That's probably why she wanted the EU heads to wait for the incoming presidencies before making final decisions about the shape of the new EU. And. what's revealing to me, both of the incoming presidencies she wanted to wait for are pro-American. Unfortunately for the pro-American side, Anna Lindh was assassinated. So, am I right? Could Bible prophecy connect the dots and reveal to us what's really going on in the EU? Stay tuned. I think we'll soon find out. 09/18/2003
