I once received an email that said, "Whether you like it or not, your a leader." The problem is, I don't want to be a leader. I don't want any one following me. I don't want in any way to compete with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The purpose of my book and Website is not to create a following. I want to lead people to Jesus -- not me. And this brings up that question again , why am I the only one reporting what's occurring in the European Union? You see, if the other prophecy teachers would pick up the ball and begin to report this news, I would no longer be needed. It's true I have come to believe a few things differently than the popular view. But, that doesn't make me different. I consider myself one with all who call on Jesus' name. I consider Tim Lahaye and Hal Lindsey brothers in Christ. We are on the same team and fighting the same enemy. We just see things a little differently. And we only want to lead people to Christ. False prophets, on the other hand, want to create a following for themselves. In other words, they want to compete with Jesus. And, unfortunately, the church today is filled with them. I read an excellent book by Pastor Bill Randles titled, Beware the New Prophets: A Caution Concerning the Modern Prophetic Movement. Randles is a Pentecostal minister. I'm a Baptist business owner. After reading his book, I realized that Randles and I are divided and united. We are divided a little in some points of doctrine. But we are united in Jesus. We are brothers. In his book, Randles points out how false prophets like to suggest Christ's church has lost something that they are restoring. For example, they say the church has been divided and their movement is restoring its unity. The problem is, the true church hasn't lost its unity. When Jesus prayed that we would be one, His prayer was answered -- in Christ we are one. Here's the point: We may be divided, but we're still united. We just need to keep our attention on the One who unites us -- Jesus. And not the wolves. 04-07-04
