There are a lot of news stories competing for our attention right now. But this story we should be sticking to like a dog on a bone. Once again the EUobserver is reporting about the disagreement in the EU's new 10-nation military wing. As I reported yesterday, the so-called "gang of four" -- Belgium, France, Germany and Luxembourg -- are pushing for their own military command outside NATO. Britain, Spain and Portugal, on the other hand, want to keep their command within NATO. Now it looks like the EU heads will be meeting soon to see if they can work out their differences (Read about it here). Why are the gang of four wanting to meet over this issue now? Because soon the new, super EU will be here. And, the new EU will include 10 new member states who are mostly pro-America and the Atlantic Alliance. So, the anti-American factions in the EU want their showdown over this issue before the 10 pro-American states come on the scene and vote them down. The reason I believe this disagreement within the EU's 10-nation military wing could end up being prophetically significant is because, as I said yesterday, ultimately we know where this is all going. It's going to a revival of the old Roman Empire under 10 kings. We also know one man will appear among the 10 kings. And, on his rise to power, he will subdue three kings (Daniel 7:23-24). Here's my point: Since we've already seen the rise of a 10-nation military alliance, and we've already seen the rise of the first Mr. Europe, there's reason to suspect we could soon see the subduing of the three kings. That's why I say, stay tuned. I know I will -- like a dog on a bone. 09/04/2003
