What Herb thinks
End Run?

Could President Bush's new pandemic flu plan Read about it here be an end run?

Recently, when Prime Minister Tony Blair attempted to pass his new anti-terror bill in the UK, not only was his plan shot down, his political future my have been shot down as well Read about it here.

Now we learn that Australia's John Howard has introduced his own anti-terror bill Read about it here. And, there's a good chance Howard's bill could experience the same fate.

Could it be as the Club of Rome people have long predicted? Have we entered a time when the democratic process is getting in the way of what our leaders feel must be done to save civilization?

Think about it: What is the practical difference between Bush's involuntary quarantine plan and Blair's terror detention plan? How about travel restrictions? As far as freedom is concerned, once civil liberties are suspended, what is the practical difference why?

So, could Bush's pandemic flu plan be an end run around the democratic process?

Here's what I think: Even if it is, I don't believe Bush is involved in some kind of conspiracy. If it turns out Bush's plan is an end run, he could be doing what he thinks best. For example, a biological terror attack in a major city would require the same type of response as a pandemic flu response.

Nevertheless, there is something that people should be aware. The final, end-time events may soon be upon us. And, we need to prepare for our own end run.

His name is Jesus.
