What Herb thinks
ENP Confirms Barcelona

An EU official by the name of Margot Wallström said something that may have added one of the final pieces to this end-time puzzle. She said the EU's new European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) doesn't replace Javier Solana's 1995 Barcelona Process, it strengthens it. She said:

"the European Neighborhood Policy does not replace the process launched ten years ago in Barcelona. It renews it, clarifies it and breathes fresh life into it" Read about it here  I  Cached. (Interestingly, on the 17th this last sentence suddenly was changed to read, "It adds to and makes things happen." Then, after I commented about this, the whole speech was removed.)

Notice what she said? The new ENP renews, clarifies and breathes fresh life into the Barcelona Process. In other words -- in fact, in biblical words -- the ENP "confirms" the agreement Solana negotiated in Barcelona back in 1995. And, the amazing thing is, it will do so for a seven year period. Here's how we know that. She also said:

"This policy will be financed by a new neighborhood instrument ... in the new financial perspectives beyond 2006."

This means, starting on January 1, 2007, the EU will enter into its next seven-year budget term. So, on that date, the ENP will begin being funded by its new, seven-year funding instrument.

As I've been saying, Javier Solana negotiated the Barcelona agreement. At the time, it was between 15 EU member states and 12 Mediterranean states. Today its between 25 EU members states and 10 Mediterranean states. These 10 nations are Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestinian Authority, Syria, Tunisia and Turkey.

Here's where it gets even more intriguing. Also on January 1, 2007, Solana is scheduled to move into his two new Offices. He will become the EU's first super, Foreign Minister and a Vice President in the Commission. This means, as Foreign Minister, Solana will have almost total control over the EU's new military wing, along with directing the EU's foreign and security policy. As a Vice President in the Commission, he will have control over the EU's vast civilian capabilities and access to the EU's purse strings.

Let's look again at that important passage from Daniel. We read:

"And he [the coming Antichrist] will make a firm [or make strong, confirm] covenant with the many for one week [seven years], but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate" (Daniel 9:27 New American Standard Bible).

Question: On January 1, 2007, will Solana confirm, or make strong, his 1995 covenant with many for a seven year period? Is that what his new ENP is really about?

I think that's what this lady is saying.
