Yesterday's commentary was about the amazing diplomatic successes of the EU's first High Representative, Javier Solana. If you recall, I asked: How does he do what others can't -- like the recent deal with Iran? If you recall, the EU's so-called "big three" -- France, Germany and Britain --ended up having to ask Solana for help. Within weeks, a deal with Iran was made. Again, how does he do it? What is he promising people? These are good questions to be asking. For example, how did Solana, as then Secretary General of NATO, talk Russia into going along with NATO's eastward expansion in the first place? Does anyone know? Well, thanks to Constance Cumbey, we may have our answer as to what Solana may be promising to make peace with the Arabs -- it's called Eurabia. Constance sent me a link to a must-read article at Frontpagemag.com Read it here. Evidently, an author by the name of Bat Ye'or has written a book to be published in January of 2005, titled, Eurabia: The Euro-Arab Axis. Ye'or believes Europe's leaders are attempting to form a European/Arab alliance in order to destroy Israel and replace America. Here is part of what she says: Eurabian notables, whether Chirac, de Villepin, Solana, Prodi, or others, have continuously stressed the centrality of the Palestinian cause for world peace, as if more European vilification of Israel would change anything in the global jihad waged in the US, in Asia, and from Africa to Chechnya the latest horrendous tragedy in Ossetia is but one example. In such a view, Israel's very existence, not this genocidal jihadist drive, is a threat to peace. So, is this it? Is Eurabia the back room promise that Solana has been making to score his deals? Is Eurabia the reason the Western European leaders tasked Solana to carve out of NATO an independent 10-nation military wing? Was Eurabia behind France's and Solana's implementation of Recommendation 666 in the last half of 2000 -- their military takeover of the EU? And, could Eurabia also be the real reason for the sudden re-start of the Palestinian intifada that happened soon after that same year? Think about it .. if Ye'or's analysis is correct, it all make senses now. We evangelicals need to be setting aside our minor differences. We need to start working together .. and fast. We have an urgent message to proclaim to an unbelieving world in a short time. It's quite possible we're on the threshold of the promised 70th week of years that God promised to the nation Israel before Christ returns to set up His earthly kingdom. Friends, what are we going to do about it? 12-05-04
