This report stirred my curiosity. Why is France suddenly flexing her nukes? France is warning rogue states she has nuclear weapons and she's not afraid to use them. French Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie is reported to have said:

Watch out, if you try to carry out your threats we will destroy you before you know what's hit you Read about it here.

Something may be up. And, Iran first comes to mind. If you recall, the so-called big three -- France, Germany and Britain -- have been playing the diplomatic game with Iran in a desperate attempt to head off a military confrontation. Iran is developing a nuclear capability that threatens not only the Middle East region, but also many European cities. It may even threaten parts of the United States. And, recently the talks completely broke down. As it stands now, it appears nothing can be done to stop Iran's nuclear program other than force.

To make matters worse, Israel -- the nation with most reason to feel threatened -- isn't about to stand silently by and watch Iran go nuclear. In fact, Israel has already said she will strike Iran's nuclear plant just like she did Iraq's in June of 1981. Then Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin ordered Israeli planes to bomb Iraq's French-built nuclear plant located near Baghdad. 

Now France is flexing her nukes and warning unnamed states not to think they could strike somewhere in Europe and not themselves be destroyed.

Sounds like something George W. would say.
