What Herb thinks
FulfilledProphecy

Every now and then I do a report. First, I want to thank all of you who so generously responded to my request for help a few days ago. The donations that came in were beyond what I expected and it was a real encouragement to keep going.

However, something happened today I'm not free to talk about publicly that could effect the future of FulfilledProphey. No, I'm not requesting more financial support (although I will continue to need it). Like I said, you already met that need this month and I so appreciate it. What Linda and I need right now are your prayers. I will be making some decisions and I need God's help and guidance.

FulfilledProphecy is becoming fairly popular -- especially these last few weeks. With Javier Solana's new seven-year European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) on the horizon now, it's beginning to look more each day that we've been on the right trail.

If something were to happen to FulfilledProphecy, and if the prophetic events continue to go in the same direction, it would be up to all of you to carry the ball for me. Remember, whenever God reveals something, a responsibility follows.

I say this because in the book of Joel we read:

Proclaim this among the nations: Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up! Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, "I am a mighty man." Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves there. Bring down, O LORD, Your mighty ones. Let the nations be aroused and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations (Joel 3:9-12 New American Standard Bible).

As most of you probably know, the passages above refers to that final battle we call Armageddon. It will happen in the northern region of Israel at the end of the 70th week of Daniel -- the last seven-year period before Christ returns. That's why Solana's ENP is so interesting. As I've been reporting, this agreement could actually become the 70th week. The ENP is an agreement between Israel and many nations -- most unfriendly to Israel. And, at Armageddon, we find many nations gathered together against Israel.

Back to the passage above from Joel. What's particularly interesting is the following statement:

Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears

The reason this is interesting is because at the entrance to the United Nations building in New York there is a statue of man who is beating a sword into a plowshare. On the base of the statue we find the same words as in the verse above, but they are reversed. On the statue it reads:

And He will judge between the nations, and will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, and never again will they learn war (Isaiah 2:4).

Keeping this in mind, let's take a look at something else God said about Armageddon.

For behold, in those days and at that time, When I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat. Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land (Joel 3:1-2).

Doesn't it say that when God restores Israel, He will also gather together the nations? And, isn't it interesting that, as a result of the same world war, Israel was restored and the United Nations was established? Isn't it also interesting that, when God calls these united nations down to do battle against Israel, He does it by reversing the words that are found at the entrance to their headquarters building? Remember, God said:

Prepare a war; rouse the mighty men! Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up! Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, "I am a mighty man." Hasten and come, all you surrounding nations, and gather yourselves there.

One more thing: Isn't it interesting that one of the biggest threats to Israel's existence today happens to be the United Nations?

Friends, we need to get the word out while we can. You see, soon now, I believe God is going to judge the nations. He's already gathering them together for that purpose. So, if something happens to FulfilledProphecy, it will be up to all of you to carry on.

Our God said:

Proclaim this among the nations.
