I wasn't planning on a commentary about this. So why am I doing it? Because of a post I found at a popular end-times discussion board. The poster began by asking this question: 

Is Churches' Silence Regarding End Times Prophecy Part of the "Falling Away?"

Last I knew, there were 42 replies. As I read each reply, I felt my spirit stirring inside me. This is a spiritual way of saying I was getting mad.

You see, with only a few exceptions, the people who replied were having the same experience. They were attending a church where the pastor was remaining quite on the subject of end-times Bible prophecy. And, they were wondering why.

Here were God's people -- the sheep of His pasture -- and at the time they were needed most, their shepherds were nowhere to be found. Like I said, this made me mad. And before I knew it, I had posted my feelings on the board. And this is what I said:

This is an excellent post that asks an important question: Why are so many pastors so silent in this time?

Although there are many reasons given, in my opinion there are no real excuses. And the longer the churches remain silent, the harder it will become for them to speak out.

Later I sat down to write this commentary. I was planning on doing something to bring all the recent news events together. But as soon as I sat down, that question the poster asked returned to me. 

And so did my anger.
