In order to be somewhere, you first have to get there. And that's what I believe the EU beast is doing -- getting there.

The "somewhere" the EU beast wants to get to is the Middle East. And the "getting there" requires the Balkans -- the region of the former Yugoslavia.

According to these two reports, Macedonia -- part of the former Yugoslavia -- will be officially submitting its application for EU membership in February. And, the other nations of the Balkans are expected to soon follow (Read about it here)  I  (And here).

This brings up a good question: The EU is very particular about who it lets into its union. The EU beast naturally doesn't want to eat something that would cause indigestion. This brings up a good question: Considering the turbulent history of the Balkans, why do these troubled little states deserve such quick and easy membership into the EU?

Well, all that's needed to see what the EU beast is really up to take a look at your Bible, and take a look at a map. The Bible tells us that, in the last days, the Roman Empire will return. And the old Roman Empire included the Middle East. And according to a map, the Balkans states are between the EU beast and the Middle East.

One more point: For us on FulfilledProphecy, it's especially interesting to notice the man who is most responsible for bringing the Balkans under EU control. As Constance Cumbey points out in her CD, the man most responsible is the EU's High Representative Javier Solana.

As then head of NATO, Solana gave the orders to begin NATO's bombing of Serbia. And as High Representative, it was Solana's skill and diplomacy that brought these Balkan nations into the EU.

But unfortunately, the EU beast won't be satisfied. According to the Bible, the Middle East will be next.

It's a hungry beast.
