Have you noticed? The British government has just released it's official White Paper response to the EU's new draft constitution, and the press is reporting what it says two different ways. Some reports warn the White Paper reveals Britain may not support the new constitution (Read about it here), other reports say the opposite -- it shows Britain is ready to accept the new constitution (Read about it here). As I thought about the confusion in the press over Britain's White Paper, I couldn't help but laugh. In my mind I could see British prime minister Tony Blair standing in front of his mirror singing along with the Beatles, "I don't know why you say goodby I say hello." This is what I think: The new, super EU is no longer a possibility, it's a fact -- a fact Tony Blair has already accepted. The only question remaining for Blair is, how much can he squeeze out of the coming negotiations for Britain. But, Tony Blair isn't the only EU political personality singing a Beatles' tune. In my mind I can also see the EU's High Representative, Javier Solana, standing before the EU heads at their last June summit singing, "Come together, right now, over me." And in fact, that's exactly what Solana was saying to the EU heads when he presented his new security doctrine titled, A Secure Europe in a Better World. Solana's doctrine had three basic parts. First, it called for the EU to contribute more resources to establishing economic and political stability in their neighborhood. Second, it called on the EU to build an international order. And third, it called for the EU to strengthen its civil and military capacity to deal with the threat of weapons of mass destruction and rogue states. And, as I've been reporting here on FulfilledProphecy.Com, the EU heads all eagerly accepted Solana's new doctrine and leadership -- hook, line and sinker. And what do I think now? I think Europe's Magical Mystery Tour is about to begin. 09/10/2003
