Sometimes I get so caught up gathering information and writing comentary, I fail to appreciate fully what something may mean. And, I think I've done it again. I've failed to appreciate fully the implications of the Solana Doctrine. Fortunately, there were a few things about the EU's new security strategy I did manage to catch. For example, I realized it was further proof the old Roman Empire was coming back to life. And, I also understood the prophetic significance of the above fact. But, there are a few more implications I missed -- profound implications. Firstly: Javier Solana's new security strategy isn't for a single nation -- it's for 25 nations. And soon it will be 30 or more nations. In other words, 25 European nations are at this moment agreeing to cede their foreign and security policies under one office in Brussels -- the office now belonging to Solana, and soon the EU's new foreign minister. Secondly: Solana's office has no democratic legitimacy so the man who will weld this incredible authority over so many nations will have no democratic oversight. Thirdly: Should Solana be the first person to hold this power -- the greatest in Europe since the Roman Empire -- there would be two serious matters for us Christians to consider. One: Solana's rise to power will have been from a 10-nation alliance. And two: It will be associated with that infamous number from prophecy -- Assembly Recommendation 666. Such are the implications of the Solana Doctrine. 12-10-2003
