You would think the Western powers had experienced an earthquake. A major shake-up has occurred on both sides of the Atlantic. The news began with a report that the UK's Foreign Minister, Jack Straw, has been fired. The person Prime Minister Tony Blair named to replace Straw is Margaret Beckett Read about it here. At the same time, on the other side of the Atlantic, it's announced CIA Director Porter Goss has stepped down Read about it here. In light of all the recent reports about possible secret CIA operations in Europe, one naturally wonders if these two stories -- the ones about Straw and Goss -- might somehow be connected. That's where this next article may come in. There very well may be a connection. It seems there was another CIA official who recently lost their job. And, the reason this person lost their job was over allegedly leaking information about the secret CIA operations in Europe Read about it here. If you recall, the EU's Javier Solana was even called to testify before the European Parliament about what he knew about these secret CIA operations. Solana claimed he didn't know anything. And, in a round about way, Solana said if the Parliament wanted him to investigate the matter, he would need first to be given more authority. In other words, Solana was actually saying the EU3 where the ones who were in control and knew what was going on, not him. But, as I recently reported, it turns out the CIA may have actually played a major role in Solana being chosen head of NATO back in 1995. And, it was from his position as head of NATO that Solana established his current positions as Secretary General of the Council of Europe, High Representative for the EU's Common Foreign and Security Policy, and Secretary General of the 10 nation Western European Union. So, what's really going on? Here's what I think: The power struggle between the Left and the Right, on both sides of the Atlantic, appears to be heating up. The Right knows that their turn at the reigns of power is coming to an end and they may want to accomplish all they can, while they can. The Left understands this too. So, the Left may be throwing every wrench they have into the Right's agenda until they can regain control. What we have before us is a confusing picture -- a multi-level game of competing interests and unpredictable variables. However, sandwiched in we find some recognizable elements. The Bible tells us that Israel was, and remains, the center of God's geo-political and prophetic focus. So, let's take a look at what's going on in Israel. It seems that Israel's new Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, will soon be presenting his plans on Israel's final borders to US President George Bush. Evidently, Olmert is in a hurry because he wants to get US backing for his plan while Bush is still in the White House. It's being reported Olmert plans on dividing Jerusalem. But, Olmert's plan includes keeping the Old City and part of the West Bank. In other words, Olmert wants to keep the Temple Mount area and certain settlements in biblical land of Judea Read about it here. Friends, here's what we need to be watching for. If we see something happen that allows Israel to go back to her Temple sacrifices and grain offerings by 2010, we can pretty much know for certain the 70th week of Daniel begins January 1, 2007. It is also provided free near the top, right hand side of my homepage. What happens if we don't find a deal made where Israel can return to her sacrifices and grain offerings by 2010? Well, in that case, some of the events that I've been reporting may not be fulfillments of Bible prophecy after all. From the very beginning, this is a possibility I've always been open to. I'm not a prophet. I can make mistakes. So, why would I stick my neck out? Here's how I see it. If we've been told 10 things were going to happen, and seven already have, it's not hard to believe the remaining three will happen to. Here are the 10 events:
