It's a bad marriage. Under EU High Representative Javier Solana's direction, the EU and the US have developed a love hate relationship. In fact, I'm willing to bet my single euro Solana is behind today's meeting between British PM Tony Blair and president George W. Bush. That's because, according to this report, Bush has agreed to let Solana's peacemakers/peacekeepers aid the Palestinians in creating their independent state Read about it here. Like I said, it's a love hate relationship. I record when this relationship began at the end of my book. On June 25, 2003, only days after Solana delivered his new security doctrine to the EU heads, Solana and other EU officials went to Washington for their EU/US summit. There a treaty was signed where the EU and the US agreed to work together to fight the war against terror. Some of the details to this day remain secrete. However, the similar actions taken by these two great powers since then in the area of homeland security provide us with the basic idea. It's an agreement to work together creating a new, more secure global order. We all can see it. Conspiracy theories are flying around like -- well, flies. I don't think I've ever seen a time when so many of us Christian Americans don't trust our own government. And, with the US Patriot Act hanging over our heads, it's not hard to understand why. Friends, this is not a good situation to be in. The bottom line is, Europe is rising whether we like it or not. As foretold in Bible prophecy, Europe is once again lifting its ugly head and preparing to devour much flesh Read about it here. The big question is, what can we do about it? It is my view the conservatives in the White House decided a two-tier strategy. One: America will stand up against the European beast. And two: America will work together with Europe to direct its path on a friendlier course. Europe, under Solana's leadership, understands these realities. And, Europe still needs America's military might to accomplish its goals. So, Europe has agreed to work with the US for now. However, I believe the day will come when Mr. Europe will no longer need America. Question: How did Solana convince the Bush administration to go along with his security strategy? I believe he's telling Bush what he told Clinton. He saying the EU's military capabilities he's creating are just for show -- they are to make the anti-American elements in the EU think they have their own independent military. And, like Clinton, Bush is buying it. It's a love hate relationship. 11-12-04
