What Herb thinks
Making Sense

Whether we ultimately agree with Jordan's King Abudllah III, or we don't agree with Abudllah, his logic does make some sense. And for us students of end-time Bible prophecy, that's the problem. Let's look at Abudllah's words.

"... this is the opportunity to reach out to the Palestinians and the Israelis and say, look, this is the golden chance ..."

"...after this summer, everybody's going for nuclear programs."

"What's expected from us [Jordan's nuclear program] should be a standard across the board."

"I look at Jerusalem as being a beacon for the three monotheistic religions."

"We're hoping that in the near future, and that could be weeks or maybe in a month or two, there'll be an opportunity to re-launch our final chance for a future for all of us in the region."

"The Arabs are coming to say we want peace, and we want formal relations [with Israel]. And, as a human being, I can't understand how anybody would not want that" Read about it here.

Yes, that's the way it's going to be. As human beings, the vast majority will not be able to understand the reason for our concern. Yet, for those of us who believe in the literal meaning of the Bible, we know that what people today are thinking will bring the world peace, will only bring disaster. The Apostle Paul tells us:

Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; (1 Thess. 5:1-5 New American Standard Bible).

Friends, if those who use the logic of this world are making sense, it's time that we Christians begin making sense. The end-time prophecies are being fulfilled before our very eyes. Now, we can continue to argue our finer points of doctrine, or we can gather and diligently seek our Lord Jesus for direction.

I choose the latter.
