In my book, Recommendation 666, I list misconceptions that I believe some have about Bible prophecy. One misconception is, When it Happens, Our Christian Leaders Will Warn Us. With this in mind, let's take a look at major events that are occurring -- events with potentially huge prophetic significance -- but are not being reported by our Christian leaders.

Last night my co-reporter and friend, Constance Cumbey, phoned me three times about the same document. It was a pdf posted at statewatch.org and titled, Arming Big Brother Read  it here. When I opened the document, I understood why Constance was excited. Evidently, Statewatch, one of Europe's leading civil liberties watchdog organizations, had begun reporting the same events that Constance and I have for so long been attempting to warn about.

Constance called again today. This time it was about a Statewatch document that looked into Javier Solana's 1995 Euro-Mediterranean Partnership for Peace Read it here. Start reading on page 66 under the heading, 59th Euromed Committee Meeting and about the so-called "Dialogue between cultures and civilizations." Then, notice the "special event" that Solana proposes on page 67. This proposal appears to be an attempt by Solana to add a religious element to his global political agenda in the Barcelona Process. Here's what is said:

– a proposal that the EU organises a special event on 25 November 2006 to mark the
   25th anniversary of the proclamation of the UN Declaration of removing all forms
   of intolerance and discrimination based on religion or belief as well as
– a proposal for the EU to draw up an inventory of the different national legislations
   of its Member States and carry out an exchange of best practice in terms of laws
   protecting minority rights and individual dignity,
– the support for the Commission ideas (expressed in DS Partenariat 29/06) on the
   use of Euromed instruments to promote intercultural dialogue

Let's look again at the first pdf document Constance sent. What's being described is a military build-up in Europe and a new foreign policy direction that apparently includes some kind of strategic partnership with the US -- just like Constance and I've been reporting. Also planned for this November (not linked) is a NATO summit that is intended to help implement this new EU/US partnership. One of the primary concerns for both powers is projecting a nuclear free, security umbrella over the energy rich Mediterranean region.

In the second document that Constance sent we read again about Solana's 1995 Euro-Mediterranean Partnership for Peace. As you may know, Constance and I suspect this agreement could actually become the covenant with many that is referred to in Daniel 9:27. And, as we've also been reporting, beginning on January 1, 2007, this Euromed agreement is to be strengthened, or confirmed, over a seven-year period with Solana's New European Neighbourhood Policy. Evidently, that's where this so-called "Dialogue between cultures and civilisations" may come in and why Solana is calling for a special meeting of his Euromed Committee on November 25, 2006. You see, that seven-year period beginning in 2007 isn't far away.

Friends, even secular organizations have begun reporting the events that Constance and I have been reporting. And, these events appear to be exactly what the prophecies foretold.

So, where's our Christian leaders?
