What Herb thinks
The Coming Mr Terror

This isn't a pretty picture. On the same day President George W. Bush gives an important speech about the need for resolve in America's war against terror, we learn the EU heads have agreed to give Javier Solana a new terror Tsar Read about it here  I  And here

Not only don't I like the picture, I don't even like the sound of it either -- terror Tsar. Why not just call him Mr. Terror?

I know, this coming Mr. Terror shouldn't be someone we good citizens should fear. So why does Mr. Terror scare me? He scares me because I think I know where this may be leading. You see, according to the Bible, the day's coming when we peace loving Christians will be numbered among the terrorists. And when it happens, it will be by a leader of a 10-nation alliance in Europe  -- like there is today. In the book of Revelation we find these words:

The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour. These have one purpose, and they give their power and authority to the beast. These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful (Revelation 17:12-14 New American Standard Bible).

The "one hour" referred to above is the 3 1/2 year great tribulation Jesus referred to in Matthew 24: 21 and Revelation 3:10. Jesus referred to His coming crucifixion as His hour (John 12:27). The point being made is, although the tribulation will be a time of persecution, it's a short period of time under God's control  -- it will pass.

This bring up an important question: Will the church be here for this persecution. The popular view says no. The popular view is the church will be raptured (caught up) from this earth before this persecution begins.

And this naturally brings up our next question: Is the popular view right?

That's the big question. And I think we're going to soon find out.

Stay tuned!
