What Herb thinks
Mr. Unanimity

And how is it possible the EU's High representative, Javier Solana, has managed to remain on the good side of everybody in the new Europe? There's been a bloody battle for control raging all around him, and not only has Solana somehow managed to remain unscratched, he's managed to remain liked.

Here's their problem. The EU heads can't seem to agree on who should be their next Commission President. You see, they need unanimity on someone -- they need to be able to all agree about someone. But, there doesn't seem to be anybody out there they can all agree on except Solana. They can all agree on Solana Read about it here.

Unfortunately, Solana already has a job lined out. Solana is set to become the EU's new, super Foreign Minister. So, what are the EU heads to do?

I got an idea. Since Solana is the only person all the EU heads can reach unanimity on, why not give Solana both jobs? Why not make Mr. Unanimity the EU Commission President and the new, super Foreign Minister?
