What Herb thinks
Only the Start

While EU and international leaders breathe a sigh of relief over the last minute deal with Iran, Iranian leaders are playing their next card. They're reminding the EU the suspension of their nuclear activity is only temporary. Now, the EU must fulfill its part of the agreement. What could that be?

In the mean time, the EU's High Representative Javier Solana is telling people the EU's agreement with Iran is "only the start" Read about it here. Start of what?

This is what I think: We're seeing a strategist calling in his favors. What the press saw in the last few years as a string of unrelated visits and high level meetings, Solana was connecting dots to a big picture -- a picture only he saw. You see, along with all the other world leaders, Solana has been meeting with the Iranian officials for a long time. Now, it's coming together.

Back to the Iranian deal: What could Solana give Iran in return for her nuclear bomb? In my view, the only thing big enough Solana could give is his promise Israel would be giving up her bombs soon too. After all, Israel is the reason Iran wanted the bomb in the first place.

Yes indeed, I think it's only the start.
