Operation Mirage

They're calling it "Operation Mirage."

Last Friday morning US and British officials where confident the report scheduled to be delivered that day by chief weapons inspector Hans Blix would set the stage for a final resolution by the UN Security Council authorizing military force against Iraq.

But, what occurred stunned US and British diplomats instead.

Not only did Blix fail to provide new evidence that Saddam Hussien was still obstructing his team's efforts to disarm Iraq, Blix actually went so far as to shoot down some of the most important evidence that had previously been provided to the Security Council by US Secretary of State Colin Powell.

Then it was France's turn; French Foreign Minister, Dominique de Villepin, delivered the final blow to US and British hopes for a UN resolution by saying, " In this temple of the United Nations, we are guardians of an ideal ... war is always the sanction of failure" (Read about it here).

Villepin's words were not only seen as a slap in the face of US and British diplomats, they actually drew a rare round of applause in the Security Council chambers.

Officials from around the world were stunned by these events. It wasn't France's continuing opposition to a new resolution that shocked people -- it was the apparent coordination of the event. In other words, the whole thing was staged.

And here's where the plot thickens: If you recall, this isn't the first stab France has recently delivered to US and British interests. United with Germany and Belgium, France blocked NATO from sending assents to protect fellow member state Turkey.

As I've said before, people are finally catching on. Something big is going on in the EU. And, I suspect it has something to do with the adoption and implementation of the WEU's Assembly Recommendation 666.

So, after learning about this coordinated attack in the UN Security Council, I began looking to see if I could find any possible connection between Hans Blix and Javier Solana. I found it in a report by the Miami Herald. It turns out on January 16, Blix met with certain European officials -- including Solana (Read about it here).

Here's the time frame: January 16, Blix had talks with European officials and Solana. On February 5, Colin Powell delivered his powerful evidence of Iraqi obstruction to the Security Council. Three days later, on February 8, France, Germany and Belgium surprised the world by blocking NATO from providing Turkey protection. And, now on February 14, once again France and Germany surprised the world with a coordinated attack in the Security Council. But this brilliantly executed operation even included chief UN weapons inspector Hans Blix.

They're calling it "Operation Mirage."

I can't help but wonder -- was this Javier Solana's operation?

Stay tuned!
