Today, for the first time, when I did a google search using the string, "Recommendation 666," the Western European Union's Website wasn't the first to pop up. FulfilledProphecy.Com was the first. Also, someone who had listened to CD's from a recent prophecy conference posted on our discussion board that, although not in much detail, Javier Solana was being discussed by the leaders of the conference. And, once again in his Omega Letter, Jack Kinsella brought up Javier Solana and Recommendation 666. Friends, the unreported news is really getting out. Now, it's going to be interesting to see what people do with it. I've shared the story before about my great-great-grandfather Abraham Peters. He was the spiritual leader of one of the largest Mennonite communities in the Russian Ukraine. Like me, he was into Bible prophecy. In fact, in the1880s he led a wagon train over fifteen hundred miles of wilderness seeking refuge for his people from the Great Tribulation. And, many trace a revival that swept the Russian Mennonite communities in those days back to the preaching of Abraham Peters. Abraham, however, wasn't the only Mennonite spiritual leader who was into Bible prophecy. In fact, when some of the other leaders saw the results of Abraham's preaching, a sort of competition followed. One leader who was preaching out of wrong motives went so far as to set a date for Christ's return. He thought, in this way, he could out do the other spiritual leaders. Why did I bring this up? Because, I fear that's what may begin happening with the news about Solana and Recommendation 666. I suspect those teachers among us who might have wrong motives could begin using the news to promote their own agendas instead of trying to prepare God's people for what may be coming. No, I'm not suggesting there is anyone on the scene who is guilty of this right now. I'm just warning that it probably will happen. So, did Abraham's people find a place of refuge from the Great Tribulation? If the rapture doesn't happen first, we may soon find out. I'm one of them. 02-27-05
