There is a very interesting prophecy I haven't said much about. It's the prophecy in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 about a future invasion of Israel lead by a northern prince of Rosh. The reason I've been quiet about this event is because I'm not sure where it fits into the end-times scenario.

However, that doesn't mean I don't have any thoughts. And with what's going on in Russia, it might be time for me to share them.

The Bible tells us, in the end times, a powerful prince to Israel's extreme north will lead a confederacy of nations in an attack against Israel. And it is widely believed this prince's kingdom will be Russia. The Bible also tells us this invasion will come at a time when Israel is living at securely and at peace.

One interesting thing about this prophecy is the person who will lead this attack is called the prince of Rosh. The reason this is interesting is because, only recently have we seen the rise of a single Russian leader with enough power to be called a prince -- Russia President Vladimir Putin Read about it here. In the former glory day's of the old Soviet Union, Russia was controlled by a mysterious group known as the Polit Bureau. The soviet leader know to us was just a figurehead and spokesperson for the group.

When do I think this invasion will occur? At this time it's my opinion it will probably happen sometime during the Armageddon campaign. My reason for thinking this is because the Bible tells us God Himself will defend Israel. And, God's personal intervention will lead to Israel's spiritual conversion. I can't see this occurring anytime before near the end of the tribulation period.

Nevertheless, the important issue before us is now is how the stage is set. Evidently, Putin has successfully positioned himself into being Russian's first prince since the fall of Communism. And whenever this invasion of Israel is to happen, I don't think it's far off away.
