As the EU's High Representative Javier Solana stood beside NATO's Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer See video, I realized somebody was missing. Where was President George W. Bush? Usually, in the past, when NATO assets were being deployed there was an America President involved. But, not this time. So, what's changed?

Actually, the change came because of an EU summit back in December of 2002. There it was decided that Solana would be allowed to create his own, independent EU/NATO command structures within his Council's Political and Security Committee (PSC). In February 2003, as if a warning sign to America, debris from the falling Space Shuttle Columbia lit up the Texas sky. The next month, in March 2003, the Berlin Plus agreement was officially signed giving Solana command of NATO assets.

If you recall, Recommendation 666 had already provided Solana, as the EU's High Representative, emergency powers over the same PSC. Perhaps I'm reading too much into all this. But, I don't think so. Here we find these powers being tested Read about it here.

Actually, we students of Bible prophecy may already know where this all is going. No, we don't know the details. But, we know the road signs. Let's put it this way, PSC+NATO=Superpower. And, that's what the Bible predicts.
