Officials on both sides of the Atlantic are talking about the growing rift between the US and Europe. And, most are saying it's over Iraq. But, I believe it's really over who controls the Mediterranean. In fact, I think it's actually about Israel.

If you been following my commentaries, you know that I've been saying both US president George Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair may have made a fatal mistake by calling for the creation of a Palestinian state. The reason I feel this way is because I believe the Bible teaches that any person or nation that attempts to remove the children of Israel from their God given land is in danger of God's judgment.

For example, back in 1992 it was widely believed that then president George Bush Sr. was responsible for swaying an Israeli election in favor of the Labor Party's Yitzhak Rabin. Bush's reason was because Rabin was more willing to negotiate land for peace with the Arab nations than the prior Israeli administration of Yitzhak Shamir.

After Rabin was elected Israel signed the Oslo Accords and Israel began down that slippery slope that has lead them into the dangerous situation they find themselves in today.

However, soon after Bush caused Shamir to loose his re-election in Israel, to the surprise of all the experts, the very popular George Bush himself lost his bid for re-election. Bill Clinton became the next American president. And, I suspect the reason was because of what George Bush Sr. did to an Israeli leader who was attempting to keep the land that God had given to his people.

The bottom line is: Satan doesn't want the children of Israel possessing the land that God has given them. Why? Because, as long as the Jewish people posses the land that God has given them, the word of God continues to prove to be true. And, naturally, the old devil doesn't like that.

You see, although officials are publicly saying the growing rift between the US and the EU is over Iraq -- I believe it's really over the Mediterranean.

And, whoever controls the Mediterranean controls Israel.
