It's Still Thanksgiving In America

Here in America we have a day set aside for giving thanks to God for all our blessings. We call it Thanksgiving Day. And today, November 27, is that wonderful day.

Why is it wonderful? Well, sadly to say it isn't for everybody. In fact, a growing number of Americans would like to take Thanksgiving Day away from us. Why? Because they don't believe in God so they think it's wrong for a religious day to be a nationally recognized holiday.

But you know what? For me that makes this day all the more wonderful. You see, here in America it's still Thanksgiving Day. And for the rest of the world, it isn't.

In fact, as I write there is a huge battle going on in Rome and Brussels over the final shape of the new, super European Union (Read about it here). And the reason this battle is so intense is because the shape will determine who ends up in control of this coming huge empire.

Getting back to Thanksgiving Day. The EU doesn't recognize a day of thanksgiving. Why? Because, for the most part, the European leaders don't believe in God anymore. Or if they do, their faith generally has no relevance in their daily lives -- let alone in their politics.

So as we believers here on FulfilledProphecy.Com watch in amazement as the Bible prophecies are being fulfilled before our eyes, the European leaders who are fulfilling these prophecies deny the existence of the God who so boldly foretold these events back in ancient times.

The amusing thing to me about all of this is we who believe can almost predict what will happen next in Europe. No, we don't know all the twists and turns that will take place. But, we do know where these power struggles are going. They're going to a revived Roman Empire under the direction of a 10-king alliance and one man. And, this man will make a seven-year agreement of some kind with Israel, which he will break 3 1/2 years later.

How do I know this? The Bible tells me so. And, the facts on the ground today agree with the Bible. In fact, they agree so much I'd like to take time right now to thank the unbelieving European leaders. Why? Because their fulfilling the prophecies is really strengthening my trust in God's word, and in His Son Jesus Christ. Thank you!!

Yes, this Thanksgiving Day I'm very, very thankful.

It's still Thanksgiving in America.
