They say the fastest way to get from one point to another is a straight line. Well, in the case of getting to their new, super EU, the EU heads appear to be headed down two separate lines -- or tracks -- at the same time.

On one track we find all the EU heads busy working on the details of the EU's new system of government, on the other we find some of the same heads working on the EU's new defense machinery. And, as far as Bible prophecy is concerned, this second track is where most of our attention should remain focused.

The reason it's important to understand these two tracks is because, if we don't, we can easily become confused and not appreciate the prophetic implications to what's actually going on.

You see, at this time the real seat of power in the EU is the Council of Europe. And, it is within the Council where we find the EU's 10-nation military wing and the EU heads who are working hard on that second track.

And according to this report, soon these two tracks will be merging for a short time. Next weekend, all the EU heads will be meeting together in Rome to begin their long-awaited debate on the new, super EU constitution (Read about it here).

Here's my point: Most students of Bible prophecy will be following closely these historic meetings in Rome. But, as they do, they need to keep in mind the two separate tracks.

Because, it's that second track -- where they're working on the shape of the new, super EU's defense machinery -- where the real prophetic action will take place.
