British Prime Minister Tony Blair squeaked by and was elected to a third term. But, Blair has emerged with his wings clipped. In fact, some don't believe Blair can survive another four years. In fact, according to this report, Blair's government could flame-out mid-term Read about it here. In other words, sometime around 2007.

In the meantime, the personal power of the EU's Javier Solana keeps growing. So much so, instead of joining up with the West's current big boys, Solana has been setting his own course. As you may know, Solana recently stood up to both the US and the UK. Solana told the US that the EU's arms embargo against China should be lifted. And, he told the UK that Iran should be allowed a little more wiggle room in their on-going negotiations with the so-called "big three" -- France, Germany and the UK. Now, we learn Solana is finalizing a package deal with the Russian Federation that includes an agreement over border issues, common space and the Middle East Read about it here.

When looking at the individual parts, these recent events can seem confusing. But, when we step back and look at the whole picture, a general understanding emerges. The leaders of the present Western powers that be -- the US and the EU's "big three" -- won't be around much longer. They probably all will be gone in the next few years. And, that fits perfectly with Bible prophecy.

As I've been reporting, on January 1, 2007, the EU's next seven-year budget term will begin. At the same time, Solana is to take up his new post as the the EU's first, super Foreign Minister. If things go as planned, for the next seven-years Solana -- or whoever becomes this Foreign Minister -- will be in a position to confirm a pre-existing covenant with the many for a seven-year period. As I've been reporting, the purpose of the EU's European Neighborhood Policy is to confirm, or breathe new life, into the Barcelona Process Solana negotiated back in 1995.

Friends, today the Western powers that be are the US and the EU's "big three." But, in just a few years that will change. Already, Blair -- America's lone friend -- is seen as on his way out in Britain. And, the end of the governments of the currant leaders of France and Germany are not be far behind.

Besides, if the EU's first super Foreign Minister is to become the Roman leader that is foretold in Scripture (Daniel 7:7-8, 9:27), he is to subdue three kings on his rise.
