I've made no secret that I've moved in the direction of the pre-wrath rapture theory. I've also been known to attack elements of the pre-tribulation theory. However, what I don't believe is rightly understood is why. For me, the primary concern is not over which theory is right. It's my view that no matter how we believe regarding the timing of the rapture, it will make no difference when the rapture actually happens. We will either be taken or left behind. And, the deciding factor will only be if we truly belong to the Lord Jesus -- period. My primary concern is that of someone who believes he may see what's coming and, for some reason, he's not able to get the attention of God's people. In other words, it's not in promoting one rapture theory over another, it's in warning God's people to what I believe is a dangerous, real-world situation. In fact, it's a situation very similar to the one found in the book of Jeremiah. Here we read: The word of the Lord came to me saying, "What do you see, Jeremiah?" And I said, "I see a rod of an almond tree." Then the Lord said to me, "You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it" (Jeremiah 1:11-12 New American Standard Bible). You see, I fear the instruments of God's discipline may already be in motion. And, God's children are not even aware of it. For those who don't believe the church could experience an end-time discipline, consider the words of the Apostle Peter. He said: For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? AND IF IT IS WITH DIFFICULTY THAT THE RIGHTEOUS IS SAVED, WHAT WILL BECOME OF THE GODLESS MAN AND THE SINNER? Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right ( 1 Peter 4:17-19). Here again, I do not wish to argue over words and theories. From the very beginning, my purpose has been only to warn of a potentially dangerous, new reality. Gradually, the series of events that I've been reporting are becoming evident. For example, today WorldNetDaily is reporting about the deepening strategic alliance between the EU and the US -- something that I've been warning about for a long time Read about it here. Friends, this isn't a parlor game. We live in a real world and we are told to stay alert to what's really happening around us. If we allow our end-time theories to blind us to reality, we are in danger of making the same mistake of some who when first confronted with the idea that the sun didn't revolve around the earth, refused to even consider it. I too have a good grasp of the Bible and the subject of prophecy. But, for me, the important issue isn't who ends up right about the rapture. The issue is getting God's people to recognize for themselves what's coming. That's the misunderstanding. 05-08-2007
