This morning I ran across a BBC interview that I found interesting. It turns out that the man who invented the Internet is now setting out to reinvent it. And, what struck me even more about the interview was how the Net's father described his child. He said it wasn't just a machine anymore, but it had grown into a living organism Hear interview here. And, as I listened to him speak, my mind went back to the sixties -- to when a searching generation talked about strange things like the coming age of a global human consciousness. Friends, according the world's leading Net wit, that age could soon be here. So, instead of wanting to change the Net, its inventor wants to make a completely new one. And, he's calling in experts from just about every field imaginable to help him do it. Why? Because, he says, if the Net is left the way it is, something really bad may happen -- like spam. And, if anyone should know, it's Sir Tim Berner-Lee. He's the leading Net wit. 11-02-2006
