Their choice is bleak. Either the EU heads agree to do business with the devil, or they lose their energy security.

In the world of geo-politics, seldom are the real issues given. The EUobserver may see the ongoing dispute between the EU and Russia over "murder and meat" Read about it here, but, the way I see it, it may go much deeper and be far more sinister. Of course, I see things through the eyes of Bible prophecy.

The devil in this case is Russia's Vladimir Putin. You see, whether Putin personally ordered the recent murders or not doesn't really matter. It's obvious the killings were carried out by Putin supporters under Putin's direct, or indirect, authority. In other words, at the very least, Putin was indirectly responsible.

And, at the EU/Russia summit, all that's standing in the way of a deal on energy is Poland's veto. The EUobserver says the reason Poland is withholding their vote is because Polish meat is not being allowed into Russia. But, the way I see it, the meat issue is just a useful tool. I suspect the real issue is Poland doesn't trust Putin's Russia. You see, Putin is using energy as a weapon to break apart the Atlantic Alliance and move the EU away from America. And, Poland knows it.

So, at this and the coming summits -- including the coming NATO summit -- the real issues before the EU heads are not murder and meat. Like I said before, they will either deal with the devil or lose their energy security.

And, today I read a quote from Solana that made me realize just how sinister the issues before the EU heads might really be. According to the EUobserver article posted above, Solana had this to say about himself and Putin, "We have looked at the problems of the world with, probably, I would not make a mistake if I said, the same eyes".

Yes, the way I see it, the choice before them is terribly bleak. Either the EU heads make a deal with the devil or lose their energy security.

But, we don't have the same eyes.
