Jerry Golden, a Jewish believer who lives in Israel, drew a map of what may be in store for Israel if U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice meant what she said See it here. If you recall, Rice was reported to have said Israel needed to make hard choices in order for there to be a "contiguous" Palestinian state Read about it here. My dictionary says the word "contiguous" means "touching." So, it appears the Bush Administration may not only want to create an independent Palestinian state, it wants all of its parts to be touching. And, according to Jerry Golden, the problem with this idea is, in order for the separate pieces that are to form the new Palestine to be touching, Israel would have to be divide into two parts. In other words, there would be a northern kingdom and a southern kingdom. Sound familiar? God's Word declares: For behold, in those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat Then I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land (Joel 3:1-2 New American Standard Bible). Don't allow yourself to think that because no one is talking about scattering the Israeli people among the nations that we're not seeing a fulfillment of the above prophecy. Here's why: God sees the end from the beginning at the same time. For example, when God looks at the Israeli people today, He still sees Jacob. That's because, God remembers His servants of old from who the modern Israelis are descended. So, in the same way, when God said, "whom they have scattered among the nations," He's referring to the Gentile nations who, in the past, have done this very thing. And, according to prophecy, they will attempt to do it again. That's why this news is so scary. Why would the Bush Administration be wanting to have a part in doing something that not only violates God's Word, but also will bring swift judgment? According to the above quoted passage in Joel, in the end-time, when the nations divide God's land, God will gather them together for the battle at Armageddon. Friends, I fear that's exactly what may be happening. What's ironic to me is, for the international community to make this new Palestinian state contiguous, they want to make Israel non-contiguous. Touching, isn't it? 02-07-05
