If you don't usually read the links, I would encourage you to do so this time Read here I And here. Especially, the second link. It's to an on-line book titled, Secrecy and Openness in the European Union. It's written by Tony Bunyan, someone who really knows what he's talking about. Bunyan is the editor of a well known European civil liberties watchdog known as State Watch. In fact, I provide a permanent link to State Watch on our homepage. No, I don't think Bunyan knows anything about Bible prophecy. That, however, is all the more reason we should find his observations fascinating. You see, what Bunyan has been reporting from Europe are the type of things we students of prophecy have been long expecting. Today's news is about the continued secrecy going on in the EU's Council of Ministers. Now, notice chapter six in Bunyan's book. It's about the infamous "Solana Decision." In fact, when you read his entire book, you will find that matters associated with this intriguing event that occurred in July of 2000 appear to be at the center of Bunyan's interest. Yet, as students of prophecy, there is an earlier event that should also command our attention. It's an event that occurred the month before the Solana Decision. It was when, in June of 2000, the 10-nation Western European Union adopted its Assembly Recommendation 666. You see, the adoption of Recommendation 666 in June of 2000 made possible the Solana Decision the following July of 2000. For details, you can read the free on-line version of my book, Recommendation 666. It's posted at the top right on our homepage. I must admit, at times like this I feel a deep sense of -- well -- I guess the word is confidence. Not confidence in myself. Confidence that I'm not way off course in my thinking. If the editor of State Watch is seeing much of what I'm seeing, then I can't be too wrong in my conclusions. Why? Because, the end-time prophecies tell us what's ultimately going to happen regarding Europe and the Middle East -- this modern-day revial of the Roman Empire and rebirth of Israel. This being the case, it's not hard to figure out what may be going on behind those closed Council doors. In fact, the Apostle Peter reminds us that Bible prophecy is like a "lamp shinning in a dark place" (2 Peter 1:19). So, what's so secret? 01-20-06
